My Beck Speedster is reluctantly placed on the market. Purchased new in April 2009; 4700 fun and exhilarating miles on the odo. Lapis blue(factory Porsche) with whiskey interior. Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo, seat warmers, Raby 1915cc engine with 34mm Webers, bumper guards, mats, body side molding, tonneau, car cover and uninstalled Kruzin' windows. This is a never in the rain, always garaged, non smoking curve carver. A real eyecatcher around Indy(I flash a sign saying "It's a replica"); kids on school buses love this car. Considering offers in the $23000-$25000 range. Dave Bash

That's a pretty car, Dave!
Good luck on the sale.
Thanks Terry! Pix are from May 2009 but looks the same now. Did I mention the Nardi wheel? Dave B
Nice car priced right!!!

Dave. It's a beautiful car, but install the "Cruzin" windows, take a few more pictures, put it on eBay and it will sell in a flash!
Dave, can you post more pics: interior, engine, etc. Any upgrades, etc. I miss my Beck & this one is very tempting.
Dave--you might also mention brand new front bearings!
I hope we see you again at Carlisle next year.
Good luck with the sale--you were smart to price it right and being such a gorgeous car it will sell quickly.
Was there some unusual reason why wheel bearings needed to be replaced at such low miles? Just curious.
Front left bearings cooked up on the way to Carlisle in May 2012(see photo of SOC'ers doing a gratis field repair in the Current Kit Car Builder mag). Discussed this with Carey Hines(the builder)and we could define no obvious reason for such an early failure. A mystery. This car has been trouble free otherwise for 3 + yrs. I'm thinking of moving on to a more age/weight appropriate JPS coupe. I'll post further pix when the sun comes out again in IN. Dave B
Dave, I took photos of that curb side repair in the parking lot. I hope the magazine has a more photogenic shot of Wild Bill than what I took...He simply wouldn't smile for me!
As I recall Cory buzzed over to the Fairgrounds to get a replacement bearing from Carey. A lesson learned...now I carry two replacement bearings in my emergency kit!
Carl, You're almost right. Gordon and I bought the parts at the showfield hours before David arrived at the hotel.
Sorry to hear of the sale, David. I was hoping for a trouble-free trek to Carlisle for you next year.

Great looking car Dave. I am curious on your seat warmers, did Carey install them.
Joe, These guys are good if you want seat warmers installed locally. Ask for Jim in St.Charles location. Sorry for hijack Dave.
Not in my neck of the woods but I checked out the posted link: click "About Riggs Brothers" and it'll open a page that has a $100 discount offer on seat heaters thru end of October...

Saving a $100 bucks sounds good, but what's the cost for two seats for a Speedster? I would hope that's not a 10-20% worth coupon.
Seat heaters? Fortunately I don't need 'em
My butt numbs up after 15 or 20 miles and becomes impervious to the cold.
Seat heaters installed as $500 option by Carey at Special Editions--no numb butt

That car's too good looking to sell :-)
If I only had more room in my garage
Dave, is that a blower behind the shroud to push air through the heater boxes?
love that blue.
The combo on Dave's car was my original choice when Henry was rebuilding my IM.
It's lovely - I'm not clear on all the tubing in the engine compartment. What is it's purpose.
Becks have a large shelf in front of the engine over the transaxle area. That's a blower on the shelf with the heater ducting connected to it.
I'm not mechanically inclined so excuse the question: is the heating tubing necessary if the heater will never be turned on?
Nope, but you'd want to cap things off rather than just remove it.
If I only had room in the garage
If I wanted to get a divorce...................
gorgeous ride
Tom, yer barkin' up the wrong tree for sympathy. I know what's in your garage.
My car is still for sale. Dave Bash
