FL State Attorney General's office when after CMC (shut them down)and their CEO George Levin around 1991. They used nefarious advertising (you can finish the car in 40 hours) and delivering incomplete kits (back-ordered items). The judge ordered them to fix issues, and Auto Resolutions was formed. It was followed by Street Beast but believe by 2008 (?) they too were gone. Pretty much the same issues.

Did your car come with a Title of Ownership? Most end up getting title in US by year and VIN of the VW donor car (even though it no longer looks like a VW Beetle or Ghia). Some states allow "replica or kit car" on title. Some states also have a special construction title. Hopefully, you have a VW pan title that matches your VIN.
