Fittings? News to me. Good tune? Pick one and I'll get Toni to sing it. Far as Toni goes, Danny, the reason she sticks around is cuz my maiden name is Rockefeller. The more birthdays I get run through, the more she smiles.

Got back from the Pumpkin Run tonight. Had a great time. The Merklins weren't home but their neighbor Doug opened the door for us. Played Alan's drums for a while and dispatched the crap out of next week for him while we waited for everyone to show up. Then we went out and did the run. Beautiful. Didn't see a single Speedster. Next weekend woulda been more colorful but it still was nice. Where was everybody?
Justin, it's a short trip up to Alan's place, and a fun time. Please consider joining us. This crowd is funny -- especially Max -- and worth the trip every time.
Max, mannnn, don't you have an SOC callendar?
Alan, I put a call in to Warren Miles to ask if he is interested in coming to the event. If he is, it'll be a great chance for me to thank him for the parts and advice over the years; if not, I may be headed over to Perry County to see an old Navy pal. He lives in Camp Hill, or thereabouts.
That's not too far of a drive, looks like, so I might crash there either Friday or Saturday night and hang out with him and his missus and catch up a little.
Don't know yet. Warren travels a lot, and might not check messages as often as I do.
If he doesn't come for the event, the seat will be available during the cruise. If I end up going to Camp Hill either Friday or Saturday, he'll need to find a way to and from.
I'll know more in a day or two.
Quote from Max = "Got back from the Pumpkin Run tonight. Had a great time. The Merklins weren't home"

Max - Linda and I must have just missed you! House was empty when we got there, found the door open, knocked, no one answered, so we walked right in. After the long trip, we were thirsty and hungry. In the fridge, there was a case of Smirnoff Ice. Linda, tasting the Raspberry Smirnoff Ice said "This Ice is too sweet!". So, she tasted the Lime Ice. "This is too sour," she said. Then she found a really big bottle of White Zin hidden behind the V8 Juice. "Ahhh, this wine is just right," she said happily and she drank it all up. Continuing making ourselves to home, and we eventually finished the case of Smirnoff Ice, and White Zin. Linda decided she was feeling a little tired. Going into the living room she saw three chairs, sat in the first chair to rest her feet. "This chair is too big!" she exclaimed. Sat in the second chair. "This chair is too big, too!" she whined. So she tried the last and smallest chair. Ahhh, this chair is just right," she sighed. Must be Alan

WHAT HAPPENED TO NORMA? DID THEY BREAK UP? WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON???? Stacey, or whoever you are, don't be a home wrecker. Plus, my husband keeps asking me - "Is Norma free now? Huh? Is she?" Puleasse!
Update:
We now have eighteen people doing the Pumpkin Run in various cars with a rumor that Bruce and Norma Stumpp will also be here!
Saturday looks to perfect cruising weather too (sunny and a high of 69 degrees) just what the "dr" ordered...
I just got in from doing a final route check list, just don't tell Kim I was a tad hard on her Miata:)
All Pumpkin Run information is in above posts.
Have a safe Saturday AM trip out to Chambersburg, please arrive between 9:30 and 10:30 AM.

For ed, Cory, and any other DC-ites or others in the vicinity: I have checked on the route from Joppa to Chambersburg, and I figure we can meet up near Westminster, then that would be pretty easy. Just need to figure where, exactly, and when. I'm gonna say at Rtes 140 and 97. That should work, so pls advise. Around 9:00-ish?? even if we do not meet anyone, I think I will go this way vs. I70 and 81. The less interstate, the better.
Kelly: Just past the intersection of Rt 140/97 and Englar Rd. in Westminster is a shopping center. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings in there and I think an Office Depot in front.

Whatever that big building is, there's parking there that I think is visible from the road. Looks like the spot is easy to see coming at 50-60 mph; you cross Engler and take the next right into that lot. Maybe we should meet there. [Turns out I'm heading out to McDaniel College on Thursday so I can eyeball this then and make sure].

And I think Alan is suggesting we do so a bit before 9 a.m., though doing that may be putting me and Karen on the road before 7:30.

Hoping for good weather.
Kelly, it's terrible to be the last-minute guy. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Here's what's on my radar; my shifter bushing is hinkey in second. I had the car out today, and as long as I don't make a sloppy shift, she's good.
I spoke to Alan, and he says it's a 20-minute fix. I will attempt said fix Friday at Ft. Meade. You're welcome to join me.
I took some overtime and a swap tomorrow (Thursday) at work. I am off all weekend, starting Friday morning. I'm going to go to Peek first thing to get the parts, then I'll head to Meade after noon.
I will meet up with you Saturday morning, head to Westminster and on to Chambersburg on Saturday for the Pumpkin Run.
Then I'm off to Camp Hill, Pa., when we all head our separate ways. I will be eating caribou and bear Saturday night, and drinking of the great Sarnac Pumpkin Ale with a couple retired master chiefs.
Hoo-yah!

I will drive home the long way on Sunday.
Not sure if this GoogleMap link will work, but I will shoot to be in the vicinity of Englar Rd and MD 140, Westminster, around 8:30, having met Cory at the Clarksville FD (MD 108 and 32) shortly before 8:00 and then shoved off from there at 0800 sharp. From Westminster area we will then run up 140, and I guess 30, through Gettysburg and on into/through Chambersburg, and so to Alan's. What's the turn off to Merklin The Magician's place? Hades??

Anybody else in the listening area is welcome to join in.

I'm OK w/ a little bit o' gravel road (go slow and have lots of distance beween) as part of the adventure.
I just went past it a couple hours ago. Cross Englar Rd. & there's a Denny's on the right (It's Denny's "Diner" now?). And an Office Depot. Pull right in there. I'm thinking the Office Depot side of the lot will be less busy. We can meet up and pull out and take the next right exit towards Gettysburg. Or get coffees while we're there. 8:30-ish meetup, 8:45-ish pull out should get us to Clock's on schedule.

Kelly
