Wow Gordon what a pitch, I'll have to speak with my Board of Directors and have them review your qualifications perhaps hiring you on as the Promotional Manager for "Merklin Motor Craft"...the pay surely sucks rocks but being associated with Merklin Motor Craft will be a plus on your resume' :)

Weather was cloudy and cool with the sun breaking through later in the day. Unfortunatly I was having another not so great day from the effects of meds I am taking (I was told I was not "me" and too quiet) but I still "survived" and enjoyed everyone's company ~
All Speedsters and Dale's beautiful red MGTD completed the run without having to break out a single tool or me having to run back to our house and hook up a trailer for a rescue and recovery.
The 102 mile Pumpkin Run was a good test for the Spyder,I've made a mental list of what I'll need to do before Carlisle.
We had a younger girl as out group's server at Dilly's, she managed to pull it off while maintaining a constant smile.
I do have some pics and video to post once I figure out how to reduce the picture sizes.
In the interest of next year's run, we'll plan it for a mid September date so that we can be assured a warmer top down day also allowing time for also doing the Tail of The Dragon Run in 2010.

Suggestions are encouraged and appreciated ....

~ Thank You all who participated ~ Alan & Kim

Yup, we had a pretty good -- IF COOL -- time. The first half of the PR is the best, just awesome two lane twisties, rolling hills, little traffic: just a half dozen Speedsters tearing up the peace and quiet. I was behind Wild Bill ,and Wild it was. Got my front bumper scorched from the flame thrower he was running out the back end. Claimed it was on account of a broke taile pipe, but I dunno. Believe he's running a little rich, looking for a good kick. ANy-how, maybe the scorched paint was on account of me running up on his bumper too often. It was a spirited ride on some occassions -- a little too much throttle needing a little too much brake pedal, now and then. Managed to have the top down for the last little part of the run down to Dilly's. Sun was trying to peek out. But we will call the weather good 'cause it was not Bad. No rain = good. Meeting two new Speedies and their crew was really cool. More for the madness. On the run home at dusk around Frederick the sunset was stunning, although I had to view through the rear view mirror as was heading east. ANd Teresa's friend Michael was a pretty good sport to endure all those miles in the Hoopty and in air that was -- how shall I say?? -- brisk, most of the day.

Allan, Kim: many thanks again for your warm hospitality. We had a fine ride, and always good to hang out w/ souls similarly afflicted.
