2280 Eagle Cheater cam

Anyone have a spec.s chart on it. I want to see if it's a degreed cam and what the spec's say.

Thank you sir, i don't see anything about a split duration about degrees before or after TDC so its most likely not.

The duration AT .050" 222 is questionable but as i understand it that's just how many degrees they stay.

Most cams have a few degrees advance built in. Regardless of what the cam card in the box says, you still need to degree the cam once its in. Always verify.

And stock duration is 214 @ 0.50. That 2280 has really slow ramps.

I'll say. Look at the spread between advertised and actual at .050. Looooooong ramps.

My reason for askin was to use the info to set the valve lash and record and check data.
I am going to set the lash normaly then turn the crank a few degrees both ways checking to see if the lash increases and at what degree it peaks. Then set all the intakes that way and do the same procedure for the exhaust rockers

I will not run the engine untill i have rechecked all of them at TDC to see what I got in both test. and then use the info to decide how much valve lash clearance I want to run on this custom engine.

I have always felt they were set to loose, Im gonna try to dial it in closer. Im thinking 0.06 tho. at the peak of lash.

I hope you meant 6 thousandths (0.006 inches) not 0.06 thousandths.

Stock or HD aluminum pushrods should be set at 0.006 inches dead cold. Chromoly should be set to loose zero.
