Ready to buy a speedster.

Hello,
I have been lurking for months and I have contacted a few people via email and I have found this to be a very helpful community. I am considering buying a new speedster but I would like to start with a used one.

If anyone knows of a black or silver speedster with tan interior I would really appreciate it. I have been through the forums and read the various articles.

How about a nice silver one with burgandy interior? I don't know this person by the way, just remembered his ad!

If you like silver or black, then about 80% of the speedster replicars are that color. I'm not saying they are not nice but mighty redundant if you know what I mean!

Thanks for emails and comments. I had wanted a black with tan and put silver in for good measure. I had not really thought about silver and tan. My main thing is no red. Not a big fan of blue either.

I am also looking for a Speedster...had a 64 Cabriolet (but not an SC) and sold it because I was too paranoid to drive it in DC traffic. I miss it and figure a replicar would be more replaceable/repairable and therefore more enjoyable. I would like input from the community on standard vs widebody. I used to autocross a 914/2.0 and grew to hate 165's. I'm thinking that a widebody gives a better tire selection?? Sorry for the long post...

Hey Bill. You should check the Newbie section. I think I have seen a couple of posts about that. Personally, I like the classic look.

I just got a 2001 VS in Silver with Black interior. I saw a silver and tan car and was disappointed. I will post up some pics up later this week as a a topic to kick things off.

Are you looking for a completed widebody or a project? If you are wanting to build one, let me know. I know where you can get a body and inner subframe pretty reasonably priced locally.
