I am so stoked on this little car. I wondered if I had lost my mind when I sold a heavily modified 470hp Audi TT with A/C,ABS,airbags,WATER PROOF;),speeding ticket machine for this little Beck.
The Audi was only fun when you were breaking the law,since a big turbo on a small engine makes for very soggy bottom end response,and 3-4-5 gear is when it was "fun", however this little Beck is enjoyable in EVERY gear.
At this point I don't care that it is a re-creation,I love looking at it,the lines are timeless and the SAME as the original,plus I would never spend the money to buy a original AND actually drive it!
I am also smug in the fact that it will NEVER rust and the engine parts are CHEAP!
There are way more + points to a replica than an original unless you are talking about investor value ofcourse......but for a useable classic this is where it is at.To be honest this little car solicites way more attention than my Audi ever did,not that I care,but people yell at me on the street and from other cars...this damn speedster is just too cool!
BTW I try to avoid the rain when I can!
