I'm having one installed in my Cabriolet by SAS. You might try to contact Steve Lawling at SAS to see if he'll sell you one, but don't get discouraged if he doesn't return your call or email, just keep trying, he's not ignoring you just that he's awful busy. Might be beter if you leave a good voice message on his phone or send a letter by snail mail. They are a bit expensive ($265), check out Steve O'Brian's SAW/SAS Cabriolet photos.

Are you looking for an original 356 clock, or an original looking "VDO" 3-gauge set?
For the first, try North Hollywood Speedometer or Palo Alto Speedometer. For the latter any of the builders (Vintage, JPS, Beck, Thunder Ranch, etc.) will sell you a set.

The 356 C came with a really good looking and nicely sized clock in the center of the dash. The face/numbers/bezel matches the other 356 gauges and probably the repros as well. They're 6 volt, but you can step the voltage down or substitute the guts from a 12 volt Karmann Ghia clock.
I found two on Ebay for a really good price, but you may be able to find a 356 used parts outlet that sells them.

The NLA gauges would be great if you wanted a mechanical tach for your original 356 motor, and had the proper (smaller) sized holes in the dash (repro gauges are a bit bigger than original- another thing to obsess over).

Mine is a northhollywood reproduction unit. It keeps surprisingly accurate time, and as far as I could find was the best deal for the money.
