The Classified section is open to any individual (non-commercial firms) posting of items for sale. Members posting commercial advertisements must be enrolled in a Supporting Merchant program.
Postings without relevant details (PRICE, location, condition, etc.) will be deleted.

I saw that ad last night. You'd think Beck would buy it back, just for the sake of having it.

Wonder how owner gets away with listing it in "real" 356 section and not the kit car/replicas?
Why put a real 356 engine into a replica?
If that's the real deal its pretty cool. I like all the Porsche parts.

I've never understood the point, either. It's not like you're fooling anybody, and there's way more fun factor per dollar spent with a VW engine.
Right: fun/dollar ratio. That's what has got us all here in the first place.
There are actually more than one #1 Beck Spyder... (don't ask me why, I was only 6 at the time)
There is the #1p (prototype) body ever made out of the production molds, which was sold to General Motors (yes, GM was Chuck's first ever customer). GM did some foam shaping on the car and changed the headlight shape/position, but only in foam and not permanently. I bought this car back from them a few years ago.
There is the #001 production kit. This was the first one ever built specifically for resale and sold to the general public, and it is listed on The Samba.
There is the #1 turn key built by Chuck as his own "shop mule".
Finally there is the #1b Spyder from our Brazilian production molds.
