Another daily driver - and safely to 100,000 - WOW, That's great!!!!

"How can you not drive these cars" is exactly why I'm gettin' a JPS coupe to go with my Beck. I want to drive one everyday all year long!

Lane if it was only as warm in PA in winter as in SC I wouldn't need the Coupe.

Well . . . I'd probably still want one, but I might not NEED one.

I met a guy at Carlisle last year (from Chicago I think) that used his IM as a daily driver too. I don't remember his name, but he was also part of my inspiration to get one and now to drive one every day. Thanks!

To all SOC drivers out there here's to your first or next 100k! Keep 'em rollin!

These cars are still more fun than I EVER anticipated.
I am about to hit 40,000km's. I have had my car for 3 years and pretty much drive it everyday it is not raining...since I am home officed when not traveling out of state I use it for every errand I can. Including loading 200 pounds of deer corn in the passenger's seat and floor space....makes for a good reason to do something...a weeks worth of groceries is also common....not bad for a Spyder!
Tom:

The guy you met at Carlisle from "Chicago" with a daily driver was probably Jordy Christianson from Columbus, Ohio (purported to be a suburb of Chicago). He's been using his car as a daily driver ever since he got it, day in, day out. He also has been making the trek to Carlisle each and every year for as long as I've been going (since 2004), AND he pulls a small, motorcycle trailer behind him each year for his extra "stuff".

Last year, we were all diligently cleaning our cars once we got to the show field, and he commented that the last time he had washed his replica was the prior year, at Carlisle! And it continues to look great every year!

Jim: I remember a few trips to Home Depot and/or Lowe's and coming home with about 6 bags of lawn fertilizer on the passenger seat, or another trip with an 80 lb. bag of "Cowboy" charcoal in the "back seat". I aso remember when we got to our Southern home with a sick tow-vehicle (I trailer down) which I took to the dealer for service leaving us with just the Speedster for a few days, in the rain, and returning from the grocery store with only two bags of groceries.....that's all we could fit.
