I know I've heard some of you talking about making your engine/compartment more "real"/vintage. One of the many things I did as I built my 2110 was purchase one of these from Hungary. I paid more than this one is for sale. It looks mint.

The identical looking 6 volt regulator was used on most all of the 356 A models and most of the B's as well.

In 1962 (T6) models, the identical model was used only it was 12 volt. In 1965 Porsche switched exclusively to 12 volt, like the model for sale above.

Cosmetically, there is no difference between the 6 and 12 volt models but it is a Porsche stock part, though it could have been used by Mercedes as well.
