I'm considering going with a Les Leston downslant wheel on my new IM6, but it comes in a 14.5" size.
Should I have any concerns with a (slightly) smaller wheel, re: handling, turning, etc.?

I would be concerned that it makes it easier to get in and out. Just funning.
Bob, that is what you want. Not many come in 14.5 It's perfect. Love mine but it's 15 and would love the 14.5. 14 a tad to small IMHO.
Thanks, Marty. Love the gloves.
14.5" isn't that much smaller, but I thought it might feel too small. I like the looks of the Les Leston down spoke model - haven't see any speedsters with that wheel (except for Matt Stoich's gorgeous one).
Henry has started work on the chassis. Just need to get all the 911 parts delivered now.
Best to the family for Christmas, and looking forward to Carlisle.

Well, anything that makes it easier to get in, means more drives...
Bob - Mike Lempert will make you a 15" downslant if you want. I think that's what mine is.
I have the same exact wheel as Lane, mine is a 14 1/2" and I like it. I doubt you would really notice a differance of 1/2" for easy access or anything else. I guess try both sizes and see what works best. Make sure you realize you will need a longer spacer to clear your turn signals with that flatter type than a dished wheel.

Yes, for a small programming fee I can get a 15" one. But I like the idea of 14.5", maybe just to be a little different. Plus, I like a smaller wheel for when I am on the track.
