After running it some on our new toy.The homemade dyno,, We find it still wants to ping just a little if you put a good hard pull on it. We have decided to lower the compression a bit more with a set of 0.120 shims. opening the deck to 0.078.but the timming is on spec.

We couldn't get that anywere near spec before. this will drop it to 7.6 to 1 on 87 octane . So we are close to getting it.

Everyone said go 8.to 1. But Im here to tell you this one wants it lower to be happy . Also taking note that a stock 356b was 7.5 to 1. This will put it close to that. Our jetting was off also only 13.4 to lean
I finaly got around to ordering some larger sets today. A pair of 140s and a pair of 145s. I think the 140s will be on target But the O2 sniffer will tell the tell. we are debating put a on car fuel moniter like the sniffer we have that sticks in the tail pipe.
Would you or not?
