1776 Bogs when hitting gas - Fells like held back.

Hi Fellow 3546ers,

Mabye someone can help.
I have a 1999 VS with a 1776 motor. I had a carb replaced (1 of 2) because it was bad.
Now when I drive it the car bogs and hardly moves (I have to mush the peddle to the floor to get going) then it just jumps-bogs, etc. It holds a rough idle but never stalls.
I don't know much about these cars. I just got it and would like to point a mechanic in the right direction. Any ideas?

Hi Everyone,

Long Story short is that when I purchased the car the Carb was bad (it was obvious as it would stal;l every 10 feet).
However, I did drive this car a few years ago and it ran perfectly.

Thank you for all of your assistance. I look forward to a smooth ride again :)
