I like it! Sure it's a little lopsided but it's got charm!

I feel like I just took a tour inside Salvador Dali's mind. It sort of has all the familiar elements, but they are not in the right places. Somebody mixed this car up w/ a Morris Minor, I think. Suicide dooors?? Incredible. And so immaculately redone. Big -- no HUGE -- bucks to own, no doubt.

I think it was priced at $275,000 when I saw it, not sure.

A vendor at this years Knott's show had a replica of a car like that. He was wanting to sell some copies. I saw pictures of it on this forum somewhere, but cannot recall where. Have no vendor info or pix of my own - because (IMHO) it was butte ugly. Maybe a search under Events?

I though the replica was of Porsche #1 - similar, but not quite as oddly proportioned. I believe the vendor was Thunder Ranch.

I kinda like it. It's interesting that the other cars on their website are TRs as evidenced by the pics. I thought the 356-01 was also a TR project. I wonder what the relationship is.

Just speculation - but I know that Tom McBurnie has done engineering work for other manufacturers in the past. For example, he did a "tube frame" for the Street Beasts speedster a few years ago. He has probably done work for others?
