I am trying to help a nieghbor sell her 1956 speedster. Itis a replica and everyone is asking me who built it and i dont know how to figure it out.

Any help you guys could give me on who built this particular model i would appreciate. And also what the value of it would be. It is not running and the engine needs new hoses and basic stuff like that. It does turn over but we didnt want it to blow a hose or anything when it got up to compression, so once we knew it turned over we stopped. The body is in excellent shape. Thanks again. Please help me.

It's an old IM. I got him on the phone and had him check the hood
hinges, Intermechanicca is cast on the hinge. Also, the pull
knobs are in a different location than on a CMC. The first thing
that tipped me off however, was how low the car is sitting in the
photos. Look at photo of the underside showing the trailing arm
and you will see there is still more room to lower it even more.
The over-riders are unique as are the clips on the windshield to
attach the top. Older IMs didn't typically have these items.
