1957 356 Speedster replica

I am looking to find a value for this vehicle. I have a customer who wants to sell and I don't have any idea. The vehicle has 4800 miles on it and was purchased in 2004. Any help would be appreciated.

Vinny is probably right, but it would depend greatly on who the builder is and the specific details of that build. More details would result in a better answer. If it's an IM with typical equipment and excellent condition, that figure could easily be doubled. I'm just sayin'

I was being sarcastic, since you left absolutely no information to form an opinion...but reality says that since you can buy a basic new Vintage for under 25 Large even today, that your used tub is worth no more than perhaps 16 even in perfect condition...

a 1915 is not a stroker. it uses a 69mm crank. It is bored to 94mm however. and easily upgradable to 2332cc.

Really need to post accurate details and photos to make a half arsed serious guess-timate as to the actual value.

A Vintage Speedster built in 2001 and recently sold on ebay by one of our members went for over $18K. I recently turned down $18k for mine from a serious buyer. I think, depending on overall condition, yours is probably in the $17K-$19K range. It will drop a grand when summer is over.

ebay isn't like an auction where if a car sells for a certain amount it raises the price of all the others of the same brand and year...
Perhaps the 18 large paid for a 10 year old Vintage was a little high, that would be my guess....But you never know....until you try.

I venture to say until we see some pic's, we shouldn't be throwing numbers out there...mileage, condition and options still mean something I assume.....

I thought about purchasing a spyder at one time, especially after seeing Angela's on the lawn in Paso, but the speedster is about the minimum comfort level my wife can tolerate, and she is the boss....
I will however lurk on the spyder site a while and see what kind of trouble I can get into...

I don't think I/we owe "John" an apology, upon emailing him the price is now $14,500 and stil have no real info or photos. I'm beginning to have my doubts.

I have emailed back and forth with John and it sounds like he doesn't own the car. I did get a description and a couple of pictures and the car looks real nice.I am thinking that he is either a dealer trying to take the car in trade or trying to help someone that doesn't know what they initially wanted to ask for the car.
I can post the ad I got when I get to work tomorrow if anyone is interested.
