Love those colors.
Beautiful color combo, perhaps enhanced by beautiful photography. Is this another Vintage re-seller? Asking a bit lower than they used to get on BAT but the new ones have stopped appearing there since a few went RNM.
There was a nice Suby JPS that just hammered for $42K
Those photos reek of HDR to me. I’d prefer to see it outdoors in natural light. But definitely a beautiful Speedster, despite the whitewall tires.
Vintage Motorcars Speedster, sold by a Charlotte dealer.

The dealership is called RK Motors in Charlotte, North Carolina
RK have 5 warehouses of resto-mods, date classic cars and beautiful restored originals... They offer controlled temperature storage for those with too many toys
OK so those were selling one after the other through Roy for mid-70's on BAT just a few months ago....prices are coming down and were before Winter hit.

And Vintage has 2 brand new cars for immediate delivery on their Facebook page. Hopefully they can get caught up on some of their outstanding orders now.

Apparently Greg has quite a few dealers he sells to across the country besides Roy in Georgia. I have seen a few in AZ, Texas and now NC.
@Butcher Boy To the best of my knowledge my dealership ( Cloud 9 Classics) and Hubbard in AZ are the 2 authorized dealers for new cars from Vintage Motorcars of CA. Greg does have some folks who he has a long standing relationship with who occasionally buy a new one and re-sell but the car posted in this thread that is at RK Motors is an older used build with a 1915cc motor. With an asking price of $69,999 I think it says they feel the market is still strong. Prices on BAT, especially on older builds have declined but in my opinion BAT is just one market, not THE market. Prices on classics in general seem to be quite strong judging from current Mecum auction.
We shall see what 2025 brings but no doubt the higher quality builds are the better investments.

Thanks Roy for the info.
And thanks again for helping my friend out with his wife's dream car. I heard she loves it ............ I found out that the car was built a few weeks before mine. The lady who ordered it name was Julie.

I'm thinking prolly not MSJulie.
Whose profile photo shows amber turn signals, bumper overriders, ivory banjo wheel, and what looks like light tan vinyl on dash — all of which could have been changed, but...
.
.
OK, nevermind.
Looks like her profile photo was a car similar to the one she finally received.
Here's the photo she posted of her car upon delivery in April, 2023, and it matches the photos in ButcherBoy's post — red interior and all.

That's her Stan

Yeah Mitch, this was her car. I met her for the first time at a Cars & Coffee at Laguna Seca Raceway Park in Seaside. I drove my new speedster and she had hers. She liked the car, but her husband had a bad back and couldn't ride in it for any amount of time. So she sold it to Troy Sloan who sold it to the drummer from Arrowsmith. It changed hands again some months later and ended up with Roy at Cloud 9. My friend was looking for a speedster for his wife, I saw it and told my friend about it. He took a trip back the Georgia, bought it and Julie's old speedster now lives in Texas.

These cars aren't for everybody. I'm glad somebody who understands what they are got it in the end.
@Butcher Boy Thank you for letting your friends know about it. It was a true pleasure meeting them and no doubt it is in the hands of some serious car folks now and she will enjoy the heck out of it.
It's interesting how these little cars can influence or confirm big life decisions.
When Kathy and I were shopping for a second home in South Carolina, we had found ten homes on-line that interested us in the Beaufort area, so we visited there and got the "Grand Tour" from a local realtor and, literally, stopped looking after house #3, when we found "the one".
A few days later, we were sitting in the realtor's office and in the middle of signing the 2,734 different "Closing Documents" to make our dream home ours when I looked out the window and saw a beautiful, flared-fendered, Meisen Blue Speedster cruising past the office on Charles street. We both took that as a good omen and continued signing with new vigor, anxious to get the paperwork over and re-visit our new home.
I later met Peter, the driver of the blue Speedster and we became good friends, although he passed away a few years ago. Still, seeing him cruising past only confirmed that we were doing the right thing.
Just a follow-up on MSJulie. Her husband also got an ankle replacement that was problematic with the speedster wheel well configuration. In addition, the long awaited VW E-bus conversion was completed last January and it fit their needs better (dog transport, etc).
This is a photo she shared in April of the bus on 17 Mile Rd in Pebble Beach (close to their house). Too bad about the speedster, but it found an excellent home.
That is too bad as I know she waited patiently for her speedster to be built. When life gives you lemons you get an EV bus I guess.
The VW e-bus was such an intriguing project to me. Does anyone have any other pics or what the range is on it. @msjulie??

Good point about it being not one of the latest builds. But I could have sworn it was asking $62,000 the other day. 69 is still quite ambitious imo

… except that we have the whole story.
We were all a part of this site when Julie was having this built by VMC.
She sold to another member of this forum, who then re-sold it.

Well, that was clear to nobody.

My bad.
I’m still betting this is a VMC reseller, as I said in the 5th post in this thread, but what do I know?
I think it’d probably be better if I just didn’t comment on these threads going forward.
Carry on.

No worries Stan.... I do read your comments and quite enjoy them.
That looks to be a nice bus, 21/23 window and ev powered. Interesting project I bet. Bet it’s a fun around town ride!

The lime green one sold to a customer in Europe. Greg is keeping the Terracotta one for his own use for a while. I just saw both cars in person. The Terracotta one is stunning particularly in the flesh. And it’s an original speedster color. Beautiful.
