BODY & PAINT: Very nice straight body with uniform gaps. Original 1957 Porsche factory Ivory color. Glasurit single stage paint, color sanded and buffed. Original style body side trim, rocker trim, bumper trim and Euro spec bumper guards. Original style Porsche hood handle and all correct Porsche body script emblems and badges. Correct headlights, horn grilles and parking lenses, license plate light, rear reflectors and Euro spec taillights.
INTERIOR: Newly redone original style speedster seats trimmed in original option of Tan leather. Original style dash with proper eyebrow and dash and door top moldings with stainless steel trim. Plain vinyl door panels as original. Original style Euro spec gauges. Period correct knobs, ignition switch, turn signal assembly, heater controls, shifter and seat belts. Original Porsche dash emblems and horn button. Nardi wood steering wheel.
TOP: Original style 1957 Porsche T2 high bow black Stayfast top with tan interior headliner. Large rear window. Black side curtains with storage bag. Black Stayfast full tonneau cover and ¼ tonneau cover, all with German Tenax fasteners.
CHASSIS: Tube frame strengthen VW pan. Upgraded with Gene Berg transaxle mid mount and custom adjustable kafer bar, which ties the upper rear shock mounts to the rear frame horns for greater strength. Adjustable front suspension. Larger front sway bar. Four wheel disc brakes with original wide 5 bolt pattern.
ENGINE: Newer, with less than 10K miles, custom built 2110 cc VW Type I. All new high quality parts including a new VW AS41 case, Scat stroker crank and H beam rods, CB Performance 044 heads, Engle 120 cam, 009 distributor, Gene Berg oil pump, chromoly push rods, OEM Porsche swivel foot valve adjusters and full flow oiling system. Dual Weber 40 IDF carburetors with Gene Berg linkage. OEM VW doghouse fan shroud, Gene Berg welded and balanced OEM VW cooling fan. Custom 1 5/8” exhaust header/system with 1 5/8” Gene Berg heater boxes.
TRANSAXLE: Newer, with less than 10K miles, Rancho Performance custom rebuilt Pro Street Plus freeway flyer. Super diff, aluminum side covers, welded 3-4 hubs and hardened keys. Kennedy Engineered Products Stage 1 clutch and pressure plate. Gene Berg chrome moly flywheel gland nut.
WHEELS & TIRES: Original style wide 5 Mangle ten hole 5.5” x 15” chrome wheels with original style baby moon hubcaps. 185/65R15 Yokohama Avid Envigor tires.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES: Setrab Fanpack thermostatically controlled oil cooler and Mocal sandwich adapter oil thermostat, all plumbed with custom, braided stainless steel, teflon lines. Thin line one quart oil sump. Remote spin-on oil filter. Front mounted electric fuel pump for easy starts. Hella Supertone high tone/low tone twin horns properly located behind front horn grilles. Cibie H4 E2 lense headlights with Flosser halogen bulbs. Carpeted front trunk area. And for that proper period look, the car wears original 1956 California yellow and black license plates issued through the Calif. DMV year of manufacture program.

OVERALL CONDITION: This is a very well cared for one owner car that has spent its entire life garaged and pampered. The body and paint are in very good to excellent condition (8.5 rating) with some small rock chips on the lower front nose area. All of the body rubber gaskets, rubber trim pieces, script and emblems are in excellent condition. The convertible top looks almost new with a very clear almost new looking back window. The side curtains are in as new condition. The full tonneau cover looks almost new and the ¼ tonneau cover shows a little use. The leather seats are in very good condition as is the rest of the interior, with the carpets showing a bit more use. The updated four wheel disc brakes have less than 10K miles. The tires are about 5 years old and have less than 2K miles on them. The battery is about a year old. The car needs nothing. It was just tuned and serviced, engine oil changed, valves adjusted and carburetors adjusted. It was just waxed and detailed as well.
PERFORMANCE: This car is well sorted and reliable which is a real asset in the Speedster replica world. It was built with high quality parts to be driven and enjoyed. It handles, steers and brakes well.
