1958 Porsche Speedster replica, by Intermeccanica

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all IMs had flat-topped tunnels.

Just the later ones that have a propriety steel frame, as opposed to a VW pan.

Don, what other things can you tell us about the car, that shows its truly an IM.  

There were/are more than one Intermeccanica.
Automobili Intermeccanica and Intermeccanica International.

This looks to be an Automobili Intermeccanica built on a VW pan. You can tell by the Intermeccanica stamp on the hatch hinge. The manufacturing process was sold to CMC/FiberFab in the early 80s.

Intermeccanica International, currently builds tube framed cars.

Interesting. That might explain why the design of my CMC Speedster is so much better than my FiberFab MG TD replica. There's no steel in the latter at all. Not even to reinforce high stress areas like door hinges and windshield mounts.

Yes, that's a fair asking price, and it's an Intermeccanica, no?

Yes, it's an early one built on a 67 bug pan.  Built in 1976, But totally redone in 2016-17
