The 1600 VW-based engine with dual Weber 40 carburators and 4-tip, sport exhaust system, electronic ignition. Monte from Redmond European built a new engine for the car from top quality components including balancing and blueprinting of the crank, pistons and rods. An Ingles 110 cam was used. The engine build was done by Redmond European, a well-known and respected Porsche & European Car specialist in Redmond WA. Disk front brakes with new pads stops the car very well. All period correct 356 VDO 3 guage cluster, badging and vintage foglights. The terrific sounds system includes a new JVC AM/FM/CD stereo w/12 disc changer. The color is original, Glassurit Red with Tan leather interior, Black canvas top and black tonneau cover. What sets this model apart from Speedster replicas is the 1959-style Roadster windshield and top with glass, rollup large side windows and large rear windows for excellent visibility, even for drivers over six feet tall. The leather interior includes original details and top quality materials. This car runs and drives very well, shifts nicely, and rides very well on radials with authentic 356-style chrome wheels and hubcaps.
