Looks to be a pretty honest ad.

Why, old 911s never rust.
Ran when parked in 2010 - 7 years ago! Man, that interior is ugly! Fabric was not OEM. Actually, a '76 was a good year for the 911 body series as they started galvanizing the body up to the roof that year.
See history of Porsche galvanizing -

no good in Cali, can't pass smog I'll bet...
It says it has a State of California VIN? Plus it says it's an Automatic (typo).
I doubt it's a typo. While none of us can actually see the car, I would think the owner would know if he had a manual transmission or automatic. Porsche installed Sportomatic trannys from 68-80, which basically shifted without using the clutch. I assume that's what the ad refers to.
I would be slightly concerned about the circumstances of a "California VIN". California only assigns VIN's in unusual circumstances, such as a SPCN vehicle like mine, or when they are unable to locate the original VIN. It shouldn't affect legal ownership, but would seriously decrease value in a collector's car.
In the summary section where it mentions the 200k miles it says Automatic but elsewhere -
Cylinders
4 cylinder 5 speed
Transmission
Transmission shifts rought into 2nd gear, but well into all the other gears.
Here's photo of clutch pedal -
My mistake, Greg. I should have read more closely.
The interior is fugly...
I would think it's a good deal at $14,000, but needs a LOT of work
