i bought a used 2004 Carrera 4 in Vancouver, shipped it down, had to pass smog (CA) and there was 1 special form the DMV wanted, cant remember #,went ok but they have customs procedures they have to follow and they arent in a hurry
A lot f time ago I brought a BMW to Canada and You have to send your paperwork a few days ahead to streamline your border crossing.
I still wish I would have bought Theron's Roadster, I was new to the madness and didn't know the differences. No doubt, I love my Speedster, but there are just a few things that the Roadster has and the Speedster doesn't. Some times I think, man I really like that about the Roadster.
After selling my Roadster at the beginning of COVID, I will be interested to see what this goes for. I just wasn't willing to go through all the CA registration jumps when DMV wasn't even open to visits. The new owner took it to Oregon and didn't have any problems.
But something is strange about this car. Mine was an 1986 and had a full tube frame. This says it's a 1987 and was registered on a VW pan, but has a square tunnel. Does that mean someone registered it on the VIN number, but it doesn't actually have the VW pan? If so, ughh, I wouldn't want anything to do with it.
