I removed these 2 flat glass mirrors from my 2005 Vintage Speedster and replaced with the convex mirrors.

They are stamped with "Made in Germany"

Currently listed on eBay starting at $50. Not sure what they are worth.

I had purchased the convex style mirrors from Sierra Madre.

I thought Paid too much for them, but I figured one sideswipe of another vehicle and I would be cussing at myself for ever.

Overall, the quality of the convex is good. The mirror surface is convex, but not radical like a stick on spot mirror. You really dont see the convex unless you look for it. The field of vision in my blind spots are greatly improved.

My everyday driver is an econoline van/surf wagon. I sit high and can see for miles, and feel safe. The speedster had too many blind spots.

I guess it is cheap preventative fix in the long run.

I would like to find a convex rear view mirror for the front post. Has anyone found one?

I will continue to let the ebay auction sell these for me.

I once owned a 240Z that was set up for stock "gentleman" class (no engine modifications) for Lime Rock racing....It had a suspension like your dining room table!...and the interior rear view mirror ran from door post to door post in segmented sections. No convex depth distortions.

There was nothing behind you, or to the side of you, that wasn't visible.

Fisher - FWIW, I rigged a small mirror for those times I have my board in the Speedster (which creates a blind spot off my right rear quarter). Its one of those suction-cup cell phone holders and I attached a small 3'' convex mirror with adhesive tape. Takes some practice to judge distance, but at a quick glance I know if a car is coming up on my right.
