Regretfully I'm selling my Speedster, I need the proceeds for the
house hunting in CA. It's been a great car and am reluctant to sell but if I can get a reasonable price for it I will take it. I thought I'd offer it up here first. Here are the details.....

2001 Vintage Speedster
Black interior...Black exterior
26,200 miles... 10,000 on new engine
2110 engine by Car Craft in Riverside CA..mildly tuned
engine cost...3,800--have receipts
dual 44idf webers
electronic ignition
twin external oil coolers with fans, backflow valve, teflon lines
new 185-60-15 Yokohama tires
388 4spd trans
Kennedy clutch, pressure plate
European Speedster bucket seats..helps you sit lower
dual electric int. compartment heaters tucked under the dash
4 wheel disc brakes
extra gauges discreetly placed..oxygen sensor, oil pressure, cylinder head temp
German exhaust by classic speed parts with 1.5" heater boxes + stainless pipes
black and tan coco mats
new battery
front anti sway bar-rear camber compensator
Nardi steering wheel with Porsche badge
tonnue cover
JVC CD player
cigarete lighter
Porsche emblems..ect.
new CA registration
a pair of vintage racing goggles

Everything works, drives great, doesn't overheat, wouldn't hesitate to drive it up to San Fransisco and back, typical nics on front nose otherwise paint is great.
The 2110 engine really makes this car a nice driver, I've never had any issues with this engine and I can honestly say that having the extra power really helps with the hills and
merging on the highways. The extra torque makes the freeway gearing work around town.
Car is located in Torrance CA.

I am listening fellas. Thanks for the shout. Looks like a great car and well within my price range. I have something brewing right now on an '03 for just a couple thousand more. Don't want to say much, so I don't jinx it. If all goes through, I will post pics. If not, I will need one of you guys to check this one out.
Shawn... this is a known car, owned by a long time SOC member. I would jump on it if I were in the used VS/JPS market. At this price you won't see much depreciation over the next couple of years. Plus it is a great looking car with a built 2110cc engine.. great gearing for cruising, extra cooling, good tires, and so many other extras like discs on all corners. This car will go fast at this price. 13.5 is a great deal. It would probably cost 26-28G to duplicate this build list with a new VS. Maybe more. Get a west coast member to check it out for you.

My 2 Cents.

Your not the only one Michael, J-P wants to give everyone a chance here so he is holding a Saturday viewing at a local area that anyone that knows L.A. can get too. Not a bad idea for getting the serious buyer out there. J-P and I have spoken over the phone and this car might not be the right one for me, but I may go down just to see how many of YOU Speedster lovers go out! Plus it gives me a chance to "Pick" your brains about a super looking car that I am sure to own SOON!

See ya at the Queen!

Dave
Unfortunatly....the car is sold. Yes I did say I wanted to give everyone a chance to take a look but money talks. A guy came and
gave me a thousand over asking if the car was as good as he thought . What could I say? I still think he got a great deal on it.

I did try calling you on Sun. David, I knew you were out but I thought I'd try anyway. Not meaning to rub it in but that was a really dialed in car.

Anyway, perhaps we'll all talk again later if I can take the resentment. Sorry I didn't have a carbon copy of the car/deal for everyone interested. Really sorry to see it go but hey 26000 miles on one of these is a hell of a good time, I had my fill.

Chow...J-P
