Ha Ha, very funny. All I need is Avy to come with me on my boat.

The boat was just shipped to the Marina last week and I got to see it this past Sunday. Its gorgeous. I'm picking it up this thursday, SpyderMike. I can't wait to take it up the coast in the ocean. Like I said, I wish I could keep all my toys, but unfortunately I'm not a multi-millionare. I just ordered(from the dealer where I work at) a 2005 Porsche 997 for early fall delivery so after I sell my Spyder, I will also have my 1997 Porsche 993 up for sale in order to make room for the all new 911 coming in October.
I never thought that I would ever sell my awesome 550 Spyder. I sincerely wish I could afford to keep it but due to current circumstances, I need to liquidate my Spyder for cash. I just bought a brand new 2004 24ft Baja Outlaw speedboat(see photo) which cost over $60k & had to sell my Sugar Sand jet boat and now also need to sell my Spyder to payoff a large portion of the loan on new boat.

The price for my Spyder is set to $22,000 firm. I owned the car for 5 months(paid $25.5k for it) & only drove it about 3 times. With only 387 miles on it, this Spyder is essentially brand new, mint cond. Car was built by Vintage as a turn key car with a 1914 cc VW Engine, 125hp. Spyder is Artic Silver with red leather seats. All pictures can be viewed in my photo profile.

Feel free to e-mail me or call me at (973)714-4020 right away if your interested. Looking to sell ASAP.

Options on Spyder:
Banjo Steering wheel, all original emblems, original 550 tail & turn signal lights, drivers side racing mirror, front grill, Simpson racing belts, rear license plate frame w light, electronic ignition, 3:44 upgraded ring & pinion transmission, dual 44 weber carbs, zolotone paint, int.Porsche gold dash emblem, 5 cus front disc brakes, drum rear w covers, jet coated dual exhaust system(into 1 center pipe).

The Selling price on my Spyder is lowered to $21,500 rock bottom line for Spyder owners club members for immediate sale. If it doesn't sell immediately via the Spyder Owners Club, car will be advertised on e-bay with a reserve/buy it now price of $22,000.
I think this is a rare & incredible offer for someone who is seriously considering in purchasing an awesome Vintage Spyder in new & immaculate condition without having to wait well over 1 year and 1/2 to order one and paying much more.
Hi John,
just after hitting the "send" push button, I noticed you were sending a post at the same time...
I understand you might not want to sell it anymore, but whatever you decide about keeping or not your spyder, I will appreciate you let me know about your final decision.
I understood you're quite busy right now, I'm too...but that will let me time to check about bringing back a titled Vintage spyder to france (this is where I'm living, in Biarritz, south east 15 miles from Spain) to make sure I'm able to do that in order not wasting time from anyone.
sorry for my english which might not be quite accurate,
As a newbie,I'm glad this site exists to make the spyder's world connected together and by the way, to share informations with non owners (for the moment),

Hi John,
quite suprising for a selling procedure. 22000$ for immediate sale on may, lowered 21500$ "rock bottom" soon after for quick deal. June, not sure anymore to sell....and then back on sale but at higher price now without a fixed price. Is it the summer season which raises prices over there?.do we need to wait that price goes higher and higher 'til it goes "around the clock" and hit 21500$ again ?
On the other hand, without offense, trade needs confidence and trust, what will make me sure if I'm buying it one day at a determined price that on the pick up day it will not raise again ?
but you're the owner, that is your d
Phillipe, as my post says, the price of $21,500 was good until May 10, 2004. Things have changed quite a bit now and based on research on Vintage vs Beck cars, the car has a much greater market value than I thought. Similar Vintage cars sold on e-bay the past few months in excess of $25,000 or more. My car is practically brand new with only 377 miles on it and is immaculate.

To answer your question, the car is sold. I sold it to a private party just a few days ago.

I wish you luck in finding the right Spyder for yourself.

Regards,

John F.
