That's a heck of a deal, Chuck, and I sure wish I could swing it. Should move very quickly.
Gorgeous car!! I was under the impression that the IM cars came with 24mm torsion bars; what was the thought behind the 26mm units and how does it ride/handle? Does a roadster weigh signifigantly more than a speedster? Who built the 2275, and what's in it? Cam/rockers? Heads? Exhaust? Carbs? What size tires do you have on it?
Beautiful car, Chuck! Bummer that you're selling it, but hope you find the right buyer. Best of Luck!
Good deal on a great car. Roadster has taller windshield-probably has roll-up windows. I'd include this in my selling info as this could broaden the appeal of the car-roadsters are scarce!
Engine was built by Strictly Foreign and I have nothing but good to say about Mark Wolter there. From an earlier post and a few update notes...
New AS-41 Dual relief stroker case,
New hardware kit, chromoly head stud kit
4340 chromoly Crankshaft
New coated piston kit w/teflon wrist pin buttons
New forged I-Beam rods
New SF 042 Heads, 40 x 35.5 valves and high-rev springs - Street port and matched
New crank gear kit
New main, rod and double thrust cam bearings
New Engle W-110 cam and lifters, .430 lift and .284 duration
New chromoly push rods
New chromoly 13# balanced flywheel
Pertronix electronic ignition
New Bosch alternator, reworked to 90 amps
New Shadek oil pump and cover
External oil filter and cooler/fan with thermostat
Match ported intakes and dual 44mm IDF Webers
New shroud and cylinder tins
Billet aluminum oil filler w/screw on cap
Billet aluminum degree pulley
Super-street PLUS transaxle from KCR Transmissions in Riverside
Copperhead clutch disk in between the two...
Ride - yep, Henry recommended 24mm but I went with 26mm... He also recommended not using the KYB shocks, but I personally find them, along with the front and rear sway bars to be a terrific combination! It is firm enough to corner sooo much better than when I bought it, but not so firm as to be uncomfortable. I'm honest in this! I think the car rides great and I've made a few 300+ mile trips
Folks, there is just so much to list... Call me if you're serious and I'll try to answer any questions you might have. 9 4 0 4 5 3 3 4 6 2

mmm yeah, power windows Scott! Don't even have to crank em
As previously stated: Good deal on a GREAT car. Any buyer looking for a solid great car really should look no further. If I could buy it myself I would! (spare top alone is worth nearly a grand...)
I really appreciate the good words, all... thanks! Folks, I used to own an auto repair shop, am an experienced mechanic that now just works on my own as a hobby, like many of you here. I've personally done all the work on this car except the actually drive train swap as I just don't have the capacity for that in my home garage. This car is right. Henry and I keep in touch, and he knows this car very well. In fact you will still find it on his site if you look for the sold 2002 down a bit on his list. I haven't done anything to this car without his help and/or advice. Most of it I've taken, or I've proven a few improvements. Examples, the LED brake lights, the way I took out and improved the heater/defroster blower to work flawlessly, the Marchal fogs that I installed using a perfectly matching switch in the dash, the custom oil cooler I installed with a SPAL fan... Look under the dash and every wire is wrapped and tied... look under the car and the shocks are painted to match, the calipers painted red when I put on all new pads (I like to see them peek out of the wheels)... I put custom spaced Mangel repops on the rear so I get perfect tire clearance... I will personally guarantee a full refund to any speedsterowners.com member before the title fully transfers, and if you paid to have it shipped, I'll pay to ship it back if you aren't satisfied. If you are looking for a car, you won't go wrong on this one. Yep, its 10 years old now so it has a bit of patina on the leather or a wear here and there on the carpet, but it still wins shows :) Best I can do!
Great deal on a great car! Sorry I' missed it...... Good luck with the sale.
EBAY....it will be sold within 72 hours....GOT six offers on mine AFTER mine sold in less than 24 hours. Alot of interest in Europe....funds were wired by DAYBREAK.
Best of luck.....
Best of luck.....
Great to hear! Took pics today and listing tomorrow...
Have a look and I appreciate any recommendations for changes to the listing :) Thanks all! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330725387203
Very good...thorough......will have offer in the HIGH 20s(27 to 29) within 48 to 72 hours. Then, of course, it becomes a game. First offer is always 20% off the top......and then it becomes a function of "a bird in the hand". But you have one of very FEW.....anybody looking has to come thru....
Truly BEST of LUCK

consider listing under Porsche 356 in addition to replica. I listed mine ONLY under the PORSCHE 356 category as porsche lookers, not looking for replica, might CHANGE when see your IM
Good advice Leo :) I'll let it run the weekend and then if I have to repost I'll "promote" it to the Porsche listings
Wanna trade? :) Mine + $10k and you have cash in jeans with a nice car to make over your way, again.
I get one that doesn't tax my old back and diabetes-swollen legs having to go to the floor to fiddle so much, because you've fiddled enough for me.

Tempting Ken :) but I need to get the money in hand at this point... looking at a short sale of my home where I'm upside down like the majority of the country I think. I'm one of a growing minority that wants to do as right as they can by their bills instead of walking.
Almost a week and only one offer to date. $30,000 and can't do until July. 48 watchers though so I'm hoping the activity picks up tonight before the auction closes tomorrow morning.
I'm going to drop the buy it now to $32,500 and see if any watchers will move on it.
Thanks all!

If I had the coin laying around I would be on a plane to Dallas. Helluva deal!
You & me both!!!
Didn't sell first round... Just need the right person to see it and it will jump I know :) Relisted and took advice to list in the Porsche category. We'll see it that moves it! Really appreciate all the good words!
I sold mine to a gentleman from Germany.....I did get another 2 or 3 cash solid offers from Europe.....listed under PORSCHE category...they
seem rather fond of IM

Listed under Porsche item 330728800503. We'll see what the weekend brings! I've had one offer for $28,500 that I'm trying to get to $30k and do the deal. I think that's just the least I can possibly sell for or I'll keep it and sell a family member or something instead :)
You'll sell it. It's a great looking IM!
SOLD! The car will be headed for Woodbury MN soon. I'll be sure and invite the gentleman and his wife to join this illustrious group :) and I'll be no stranger as well. Thank you all for the great comments and advice now and over the last few years.
Congrats Chuck!
TWO for the ROAD !!!
Congrats, Chuck! Hopefully we'll see you around!
