I have pictures, but they are in the attic and I have to find them. The car is exactly the way I bought it except for a couple of paint chips in the front from freeway driving. I really enjoy the car. The problem is my back and getting in and out. The other problem is the ride is rather harsh and doesn't do my back any favors. The car reminds me that I am getting older. Time for me to purchase an SL 500.

The car has been garaged at all times, accept for when I had my garage floor done. The oil has been changed every 1000 miles. The only other problem is when the car sits it leaks oil from the slump plate. My mechanic told me is was bent and needed to be replaced. I have a billet slump plate for it, I just have to change the oil and but it on.

I am in no hurry to sell the car and the holidays are here so I don't think I will look for the pictures right away. If I happen to fine one laying around I will post it.

Roland, I would pay someone in the LA area that you know on this board to go and check it out for you and send you some quick Jpegs home so that you can see it. Vince might do it for the right money. THIS IS A KILLER good deal.... don't sleep on it too long. It will be gone.

Jim
(In Oklahoma with no vested interest in the sale)
Heck, Roland, have him take it to Kirk at Vintage for a check out. Pay Kirk some coin for the inspection... tell you what it needs, and then act on it. Use John Steete at JPS! I would think strong on this one. That's a good price. ORRRRRRR Buy a ticket into one of the feeders in LA, Burbank, and drive it.... take it to JPS for a check out. if it's good, go south to San Diego and take the warmer I-10 all the way home!
Good opt Roland. Vince is his own man... he will tell you how it is. I would trust him right now. If he says it's a dog trust him, and if he says buy, then Buy! You will have little trouble selling that black Speedy.

You ponied up some cash for the site....... what a good guy you must be!!

Jim
OK Joe, Whats your schedule for this weekend, so perhaps I can check out your car for Roland, I would also need to take some Pic's.....
You can contact me off line with your address and directions....
Was planning on a toy run sunday morning, but I can come to your
location instead....toy run was going to hurt my afternoon schedule
anyway.....
Roland, I can set up a time to meet with Joe, drive the car and take some pic's......My mechanic is probably too far away to do any good.
So thats about it......
what do both of you think
I should be home all day Sunday doing Christmas stuff and part of Saturday in the early afternoon. You can contact me on my work phone (714) 315-2045 if you want to see it this weekend.

Depending on traffic it should not take more than 45 minutes under the best condition. I live near the 91 fwy and 55 fwy connection.

Joe
I thought i had first dibs?
Forget the checkbooks
I've got CASH
Or a bank transfer either one
It sounds sweet, i hope it is as sweet in pictures as it sounds
I might just have to take a week off and drive it from California, to Mississippi
Man would that be a long trip or what?
It would be a true test of both man and car
OK....Anybody who is interested in Joe's VS Speedster. I went and
looked at it today....You will need to email me to see the pic's
cause I prefer not to have to go through the trouble of adding them
to my profile....I prefer to reply to your email with the pic's...

First let me say I hate Joe, and anybody else who has a garage thats cleaner than my house, he has a damn TV in the garage.....

That is actually a testament to the condition of his car....It looked
brand new....Shows no wear at all....the only thing wrong with it was a dime (or smaller) size chip on the front bumper from a rock or stone
other than that, the car appears to be in ALMOST perfect condition..
starts right up, shifts smoothly and with plenty of power...
Engine compartment is clean with no signs of leaking etc....
Interior is spotless and shows no wear at all, Nardi wheel has Porsche
logo, looks way cool.....
I did notice a run in the paint, typical of a VS, but I really had to look to find it.....

If I was in the market for a speedster, and if you like the color combo,I would buy this car. Especially for the price he is asking......

He also seems like a stand-up guy.....Joe I don't really hate you,
and I am sorry about leaving all that oil on your driveway.....
Vince

Ok, Vince, you drive it to El Paso... we will pick up the 'other' delivery at the border and sell it to the SWA crew taking it to Dallas then Islip. We split the cash, I'll drive on to Gulf Shores and meet the Shrimp Boat for another delivery lined in Brian's tires... go to Huntsville and send it on an 18 wheeler to Richmond. Brian, I'll wash the car before delivery.

Hey Guys,

I talked with Joe today and I am buying his Speedster. I am flying to LA on Wednesday to pick it up and drive it back to Tucson. It should be quite the adventure. Roland don't be too upset with me. This is my first Speedster and I can hardly wait.

I would like to thank Vince for checking the car out, taking photos, and giving his honest opinion. You are a gentleman and a scholar. I wanted to compensate him but he said it was his way of giving back to this group. Isn't that great? Thank you

This is my first post as a contributing member of this group. I joined a few days ago and I must admit it's worth the price of admission for the humor alone.

Mary
Soon to be speedster owner

Thats fine Mary

I am still unsure what I want to get anyway
