2002 Vintage Speedster For Sale

Lew - your car looks great.  You should not have any problem selling, especially at that price.  Wish I was still in the market, but bought one about 6 months ago.

I love the detail work in the engine compartment.  Can you tell me how to go about finding the parts and installing the 356 orange oil filter canister.  I think it adds a great touch of originality.

Grant- Although it looks period correct, be aware that the shroud mounted oil filter is a bypass filter and not "full flow". If you're going to go to the trouble and expense of mounting a filter, the best protection for your motor is one that filters all the oil, all the time. Al

Some people have been known to install a filter like that for looks only, with the actual duties performed by a hidden full-flow filter.  I know of at least one case where the Porsche filter was made into a tool holder.  Looked like the real deal but lift off the top and surprise!

just because it was orignaly a bypass filter dosent mean it has to stay that way. & the tool box idea is nice if you line it so nutten rattels, spark plugs,&minor tool assy nice & handy for small stuff.

Good buy if it has no problems.  Minimally $1-2K undervalued.  Should be snapped up quick.

The filter is not a functioning filter.  As suggested the filter can be used to store tools or other repair items.  I live about 20 miles south of Carlisle, PA near the town of Dover, PA.  I feel the car is priced to sell, and is a firm price. The filter and bracket where found at a Porsche swap held in Hershey, Pa. but they should be available through ebay or samba
