Thanks man. I had luv for the cars look at first glance. Gulf Blue is my kinda color.

In Illinois when you have antique plates you can drive on a plate from the era of the actual automobiles born on date. The previous owner was a fine couple in Cali and they sent that vintage tag along for the ride. I have used it since. People at gas stations say "man, California? That was a long drive!"
Bob thanks!

Yours was always more fun anyhow. Its the one that attracted me to the fold to begin with after-all.

I may have the new acquisition by the time I see you... But I have not told anyone at the shop... If you know what I mean! ;)

I sold off three cars to get it, so they will be bound to notice someday!
Back in 2004 Ferrari made a limited run of a special version called "Challenge Stradale" - which loosely translated means "Racecar for Street" - Dat's what I have wanted since then. And now they are finally priced within my reach.

So its on the truck headed my way from Cali.

Nobody wanted the 246's....technically not a ferrari. Now they are priced in the stratosphere....almost like its the late 80's all over again in ferrari land...except if you own a lowly 308 like me....lucky if i could get 25k for it...348's and 355's have sank dramatically too. Unlike our tubs the f cars are f'in expensive to run...freakin money pits...though if i hit the llotto that 246 would be on the top of my list!
Paul - In '86 I had just sold my '78 SC Targa and was looking for another toy for my wife. I narrowed my search to 2 cars on a consignment lot in Newport Beach, SoCal. One was a very nice '82 SC Porsche, the other a '76 Dino (needed some cosmetic work). Both were close in price (around $22K). Passed on the Dino because of the work it would need and bought the SC. 2 years later Enzo Ferrari passed away and those Dino prices went through the roof. Coulda-woulda-shoulda... who knew? I've been jonesing for one ever since.
A transplant for work?

ND is like mecca for people wanting to work. I saw a report the other day about transient workers pulling down six figure incomes while living in cars, tents, whatever, leaving home and family behind to take advantage of the money to be made.

Sort of like how folks went to shipyards and factories from all over the country at the start of WW2.
Yeah, the very EAST part of Beverly.

More like bordering on "Ollie and Lena" country..... If you catch my drift.

Having been there (both Guam and Beverly), I can't believe that a Guamaniac could live more than 2-3 klics from the ocean. Sorry, just can't believe it.

But a Guamaniac playing "Fun with Zip Codes"? Absolutely.......Goes back to their nomadic, "Let's sail our asses all around the South Seas just for the hell of it" ancestry.......
