Hi Warren,

I live here in the Desert as well and have had alot of people asking where I got my car since I took delivery. Why not put it up for sale locally? Take advantage of our good weather because I know if I would have seen your car before I bought I would have given it some very serious thought. BTW I watch Ebay real closely and never saw your car, did you list it under 356 or in the other Porsche category?
Best of luck in selling the speedster and your new build.

Me too Warren!
I never saw your car on Ebay either.
Same sort of thing occurred to me about a year ago when I was watching a certain Speedster that I wanted to bid on. It seems that, while I could easily find the car on my home computor, it was not shown on 2 other computors at different locations.
Who knows???????? Maybe Ebay is hooked up with Diebold voting machines????
Warren,

The Keith McCormick auction is this weekend in PS. This very popular event attracts alot of car buffs from all over. The auction and related activities are all happening at the Spa Casino. It might be worth a few runs around town with a for sale sign and some strategic parking near the event to generate some interest.

It doesn't look like any Speedsters are moving right now. I guess you guys up in the Northwest could turn them upsidedown and use a paddle. Sorry, hope you're drying out. Well since mine is not moving so fast, and I still get to drive it around, I decided to go ahead and add the Porsche script and badges to it. I ordered them this morning from JPS. As soon as I get them on, I will post new pictures. Give me a call if you're interested. $19,500 760-674-8805
Warren,

Go to ebaymotors, click on Porsche, once there click on 356, when you are on that page log in to your acct. and put your listing in there. You want to make sure your car is listed in that category as that is where you will get the most exposure and where the buyer's are. There are typically 20-30 real and replica 356's of all types in the category on a daily basis.

Good Luck,

Dean

jim, I believe that blue speedster came from a dealer in WA state. I could be wrong though. I was just at the dealership where I signed the papers on my 993 C4S and they were loading a bunch of cars to go down to Barrett-Jackson. Apparently it's hit and miss with the cars. There is no reserve so sometimes they lose on a car and sometimes they hit a home run. Looks like that speedster was a home run for them!
Update on 2006 VS Speedster

I have dolled up this car with Porsche script, front and rear. Porsche script on the dash, with the Meister Schaften badge. The Reutter badge on the right front fender and the Porsche emblem on the hood lever and horn button on the Nardi steering wheel. It makes the car look so authentic. I will post new pictures soon. The price remains the same at $19,500. Give me a call at 760-674-8805.
