Any Portland/Vancouver folks planning to attend? Scott? Angela,Bruce? Dale?
Bruce, is the guy you sold your car to in this area a likely participant?
I won't make a weekend out of it, but will probably spend Saturday there, weather-permitting.

Although I am not from Portland or Vancouver, about 600 miles south actually, I am planning on coming up to the Campout.

Anyone else from the Sacramento, the Redding or the Bay area heading up? I am planning on leaving early Thursday and possibly staying in South or Central Oregon Thursday night.

Looking forward to meeting you, Rich.

Dale
I forgot to mention that I will be driving up with the owner of the sweet speedster currently shown on Intermeccanica's home page. http://www.intermeccanica.com

This car features a 3.2L 911 engine, 17" fuchs, custom layed in flared fenders, and the owner built his own headlight covers. It is a stunning car.

Rick Davis will also have his fantastic 2.5L, RS spec'd engine Roadster at the camp-out. Ricks car is well documented on this site and is equally phenomenal.

I really wish that Howard could get his beauty out here.

Cory,

The grills in the bumper are the location for front oil coolers. The owner had Henry sculpt the front bumpers right up against the car body, the model and idea were from Rick Davis's car.

The owner had all the typical chrome pieces powder coated a silver-grey. The flares for the wheels look like the body was pulled and stretched out over the wheels and are not really noticeable when looking from the side.

The car also sports a 911 suspension and big Boxster brakes.

I'm in McMinnville right now!
Had a great time at the "Thursday's Farmer's Market" event in old town last night. Caught a guy taking pictures of the car.... Turns out he's been doing his home work and wants to "join the madness". He's a lurker here and after yaking with him for about an hour, I'm sure he'll be saddled up soon!
BTW... The Spruce Goose is way BIG!
Cheers, Ernie
Rich,

I am leaving fairly early on Sunday. I don't know about anyone else. Sunday is basically the swap meet and good-byes. Some VW parts, mostly Porsche stuff.

Since this looks to be out, why don't you make a run up to Vancouver, BC in July for the Intermeccanica BBQ? Everyone and all cars are welcome, we are spending Friday and Saturday out at Harrison Hot Springs and the BBQ is on Sunday. Henry planned on a Sunday so no one will have to take a day off work. Last time I talked with Robert at IM, he said there were nearly 100 guests coming. Check their website for more info.

Windshield comes Tuesday - looks like we are a "go". I have a business trip (actually two) next week so I'll be driving the Jeep up. Guess what? That means I have room for the easy-up tent.

If all ya all want to hang out together and save a spot for Steve's cabby, I'll bring the ez-up for shade... Mmmm.... shade...

Yeah Scott - Jeeps ROCK! After the trip to Reno last week in the 911 coupe, I decided that I want a/c for this next trip. I have to drive to Welches, give a presentation, then drive to Pullman, Washington... No time to freshen before the presentation... Definately need to sort the a/c in that old 911.

Dale - you don't need to bring extra clothes. But you might want to bring sunscreen because you can get really burned running around nekkid...

See all ya all there!
