Steve, I like your car, I'm assuming that its not a replica, am I correct? Second issue, is there any rust damage?  Lastly, is the price negotiable?  Pls advise.  Oh, if we agree on a selling price, is the car capable of my return trip to San Jose, Ca.?  How do you prefer the money? Cash, personal check, cashiers check, etc?

My legal name is George, but I prefer my nick name, Robin.

Robin,

Thanks for the interest. It is a replica, built by Vintage Speedsters. If it was real we would add a zero the price. There is no rust damage. Price is negotiable, but was ust listed tonight. The car would be able to make the drive as it has fans to cool engine, but I personally wouldnt want to drive it that far based on comfort. I do take it out for a decent cruise now and then, but that is a long drive. Very inexpensive to ship.

Is George DICKman a comedian? Trying to NEGOTIATE a "REAL" SPEEDSTER priced at $22,000?  That's as funny as a ONE LEGGED MAN IN AN ASS KICKING CONTEST

Rusty,

I agree that George/Robin should read up as we all know that the real deal prices much higher than replicas.  What I don't understand is why you would feel that I am hiding rust damage. The last time I had the car on a lift at my VW mechanic, there was no rust noted. AZ doesn't get rust damage like the rest of the country. I respectfully agree to disagree with you. Any buyer of my car will see prior to purchase that there is no rust.

For those have you that have not tried to sell a car on Craigslist of late. George Dickman's word usage, poor use of English, and questions asked are almost exactly the MO used by scammers. The next email will involve a cashiers check and the need for a cousin to pick it up. Also the check will be for over the amount and you can refund that to my cousin.

Calf.....Unless you are George Dickman that response was not directed at you. It is a FYI to everyone that has to put up with fraud when selling a car. Now that you mention it and the fact you reacted so quickly Hmmmmmm?

In CALIF's defense you did post a response to a comment that was 20 days old without including the original comment in your post. I too thought you were making a reference to CAIF in your comment since GD's post was so old.

CALIF has been up front what he's looking for and he's offered you enough information to verify his previous purchase history with Kirk so I doubt he's a fraud. And if he is, which again I doubt, and someone gets burned on a deal shame on them for being duped.
