I would like to bid $1 Bob.
Price????

That's a Type 4 engine? Sure?
Whoops - forgot about the price: $20,500.
And Type 4 is what I was told when I bought it. I'm almost the original owner - 250 miles.
Beautiful. Best of luck with the sale. Priced to sell for sure! Someone is going to get one hell of a deal.
May be mistaken about the Type 4. Its the 1915 cc engine from Vintage. 3.88 rear end (I assume). Front discs.
Very nice looking car, Don. Sorry to hear you're selling. And yeah, I think you're right-it's a type 1 engine. I don't think the type 4 had the fuel pump on top of the case. Al
If i were in the market...
Beautiful car. Someone needs to grab it.
Not seeing some of the replies from yesterday, not sure if they were removed or if this is a technical glitch on my end, but I sent a Private Message to Don B. that I would like to purchase this car. Will keep everyone posted.
I've taken a deposit on the Speedster from a local buyer. I'd like to keep this open until the sale is complete. Thanks everyone for your comments and your interest as potential buyers.
CA$H talks an BS walks,,first guy with total cash gets it..we've all been told yeah, yeah I'm on the way with cash,,especially true with Craigslist buyers
A buyer in your state is perfect for your car since the title is a "2008 Replica Porsche." That could be a nightmare in lots of other states.
@Troy Sloan yap agree with Troy👍 Would be easier to register in a state it’s alredy registered in.
In all my selling experiences I have learned never burn a bridge re: potential buyer. I once had a kid show up in a clapped out Honda Accord old black motorcycle jacket with more hardware in his face than isles 1 and 2 at Ace Hardware. Walks around the car nodding away telling me " Like wow hey yeah man ummmm my Attorney will contact you this week and cut you a check, then just leaves. Three days later FedEx stops by with.....a Attorney - Bank check for the full amount, then to top that the kid come back out to get the car and along with him was a beautiful young lady that looked like a French model ( we'll assume she got the word that Mr Face Hardware came into some serious cash .
Never judge the book by its cover 👍😎
Local buyer is definitely the simpler deal - can't be mad about that. Thank you for offering up your beautiful and beautifully taken care of Speedster on this forum. I really enjoy this community of Speedster owners and am said that it took me so many years of Speedster ownership to find it.
Pretty car. It'll sell fast to a happy new owner.
Beautiful car. Someone got a great deal.
SOLD. Thanks everyone.
Congrats!
@March McRuiz was it a member that bought it?
FYI maybe already figured out, but type 4 motors do not have a dog house. More like a later Porsche motor with the fan going through the cylinders.
I believe there may be an upright fan conversion that will work on a type 4, but I could be wrong.
That motor above clearly is a type 1 though.

The "Cali Conversion". It's been done often, and is a better and more economical way to cool a Type 4 than a 911 set-up (although it looks about 1/10 as cool).
Raby DTM, no?

There is also the Raby DTM, Ed, but the Cali Conversion works quite well, and at a fraction of the price of the DTM (as Stan mentioned), well...
