Last year I went to Nick's Burgers it was so Awesome to see the Vw's Cruising all around and all the Show Car VW's parked all over the area and all the Cops waiting for someone to Burnout or Race. 2 years ago Jesse James was there filming Monster Garage he had a unreal Full on Race Bug totally illegal and he got many tickets from the police that evening.

It was a super VW overload weekend! So good to see the SOC GANGstas and the rides. TUFFTUB is a bitchin machine!Nice to meet Mark and see his ride. I am so sorry I did not drive my car to the Sunday show. Next time for sure. Vince and Terry were styling with the Ghia. MUSBJIM was spotted showing a lot of style in Laguna Beach on my way home. Bruce C made the scene too. It is so nice to see my SOC friends.
Once again I must say that it is always a pleasure seeing SOC members, you are all the best of any clubs I have been associated with...By a long shot.....I'm going to stop now before I get all weepy....
Thanks to Desi for keeping the speed down through the canyons on the way to the coast. The Ghia leaves a lot to be desired in the turns.
I gotta get another speedy...
good news is I think my softail is sold, I just have to find a cheap speedy, perhaps an old CMC gelcoat, with a few scars and a big motor...
Great weekend for VW's. Nice to meet a few of you guys and put some faces with some names. Desi,it was cool to cruze out in the am and hang out with you and your family. You are truly blessed.
Vince, nice cruzing with you thru the canyon and around the beaches, we should do it again. I love those old Ghia's I wish I still had my old 59 but I did sell it for almost 100% more than I bought it for. I should have held out for $200.00
Adrian, Bruce, Jim, Will, Next time, bring your CARS!!
Later, Mark
That would be awesome Jim, but I don't think I'm even qualified to sweep the floors for Ferrari.
Vince,
We have two Nascar races here every year too (Dover Downs - The Monster Mile). I haven't been in years. I prefer the kind of racing that has both right and left turns. That's not to say I'd pass up tickets if they came my way.
Speaking of racing, there's a new track being built in New Jersey about an hour from my house. It's supposed to be the "shizzle". They are hosting a Rolex Series event, a Ferrari Challenge event, an ARCA Remax event and a ton of bike and PCA events. It opens in August and I'm actually racing my kart there in September! I'm pretty stoked, I've seen video of the track we're running and it looks sick fast!
I'm hoping in the not so distant future to buy another "hobby" out you guys way and drive it back east. It's something I've always wanted to do. I actually intended to buy my Speedster from Cali but I found a dream deal in Fla so I couldn't pass it up.
