Private Party in San Diego....Take advantage of this opportunity to own a one of a kind and special ordered 1957 Porsche Speedster Replica. What makes this most unique is that it does not have the unsightly Volkswagen e-brake on the tunnel. My goal in building this Speedster was to make it appear as authentic as possible and emulate some of the original character that makes this automobile so highly sought after. I purchased an original 356 umbrella e-handbrake, and its been engineered and fit to the car (where it belongs) on the left side of the steering wheel under the dash. Indeed an original example of this model can bring upwards of $200K. This automobile is well equipped and has only 805 miles on it. I

I sold a banjo on ebay this year and decided to have NO RESERVE on it.

Well the first bid was a stupid $2 one but it ended up bringing $4,500 which is $1,000 more than I hoped for. There were a LOT of bids too. I'll do this way again ---I bet it works the same way with a Speedster. (To get this thread back on track.)---Jack
My thought is why would you build a car like this and sell it with 850 miles on it in less than a year. Does that mean you don't like the car or does it have problems or are you just strapped for cash.

BTW the "Umbrella" hand brake sucks.......it looks cool but it does not work real well if your on a hill and using it to keep from rolling backwards..........;-)

Just thinking out loud..........
