I really should not go public w/ the details, as they are too embarrassing, but let's just say that the work involved new fuel lines, and I wanted to flush them out a little before "going live" w/ the carbs, and so some fuel was run through the lines.  There was gas in the engine compartment.  There was a loose B+ wire.  The kill switch was in the On position.  In retrospect, I am lucky to be alive . . .

Only fire recently in the beast has been contained in a well synchronized way to the four cylinders, thankfully.

Kelly

Thank you Connie and Al for another great day!

Great people, great roads and a wonderful venue. Really enjoyed the winery and the music.

And thanks for all the nice comments about my '65 Plymouth ragtop...all 3,325 pounds of her.

Reminded me of the old days, with the SCCA guys and their Yer-O-Pee-Yan sports cars mixing it up with the roundy-round stock-car boys and their A-Mer-I-Kun steel land yachts. ;-)

Jim Chichi and I went to the Ski Roundtop swap meet from about 9 to 13:00 hours no rain. Was able to pick up several pieces that I needed/wanted for my 912 at decent prices, of course along with several 1/43rd Porsche models that I didn't have. I have got to stop collecting them and realize you can never collect them all.

Chuck

I also went up north to the Roundtop Swap.  I chickened out of binging my Speedster because of the cast. Got there after 2hrs+ from NVA and no rain in either direction until I got back home to Oakton at 3:00.

I did pick up a T shirt $10,from a real nice guy and his wife (didn't their names), two mondo 6 ton ACDelco adjustable jack stands $10 (yeah I know I can hold up a light tank but hey for $10 bucks how could I loose)and a Special Edition (not a Beck)'Maisto Porsche No. 1 Typ 356 1:18 scale model $5.

I was kinda bummed that by 12ish most folks were packing up.  I didn't get a chance to meet anyone or see all.  I saw one other Speedster when I first arrive but it was gone before I could check it out and meet the owner I think it was a gray/blue/greenish color I did meet one guy from PA with a red outlaw.

I made it to round top with my red CMC. It's about a 10 to 15 mile run for me. There was another red flared version there  along with a nice original tub.
I ran into Chuck from Palmyra and Dave from Camp Hill. All in all the show was a little smaller than I expected.
I searched around and found some goodies too.
It was a little windy but the rain  held out till later in the day.
