Is this the standard yearly "I can't make it" post or is this for real?

Hey Jimbo
Gotta add my wife Maggie to the list she says she is going at this point....
Roger That, Kev! Awesome that she is coming along with you on this trip!
Are you trailering or driving?
Looks like we may have 13-14 cars in our caravan to SLO! That will be a 3/4-mile long line of Speedsters on the road. Quite a spectacle on the highway!
I've had one person contact me regarding the Berlin concert that night. Not withstanding GERD thinking he needed his passport. Is anyone interested? I can purchase tickets and, try to arrange transportation for those who don't want to drive at night or from a wine/ beer event.
I'm also going to need a head count ASAP for lunch on cruise day Saturday.
Either call me at (Eightzerofive)2three4-zero5eight9 or e-mail me at hammerinATgmail
For those who don't have a hotel room, I can try to help you out also! Interest in this event has been great!
Have not made a choice to drive or trailer. I may trailer up to the meeting point and leave the truck and trailer behind for an epic drive..... That would be my first choice. I just have to leave down here 2.5-3 hours before the hook up time just to catch up with you weirdo's
But then again having the truck and trailer along incase someone breaks down.
THE CROOKED HAD TO RETIRE FORCED OFF FORCE COP AND OUR WIVES ARE GOING TO THE BERLIN CONCERT. IT IS AT A WINERY AND A VERY SMALL SETTING. LET SCOTT KNOW IT WILL BE FUN
JIMMY U WILL HAVE TO UPDATE THAT PACER TO THE NEWLY ACQUIRED ______________________
Gerd, did you buy the new VW Beetle you were looking at?
I'm in for Berlin, if that is what's happening, I'll just bring my own Scotch,
and put it in a wine bottle
Okay,,,I have several people counted in for Berlin. I'm going to call and see how many tickets I can get for us. If you counted in, please let me know if you need a ride or just want a ride. It's about 25 minutes north of the hotel just off Hwy 101. I have a Tahoe that seats 8, but I think we just maxed it out and then some. If everyone is looking for a ride, I can start working on more transportation options.
Let me know!
Gerd - I'm looking forward to meeting you. You and Vinny seem like the life of the party. This is going to be fun.
Although - the alternator on the Schwarz Frau' is giving me attitude. I just ordered my super slick Musbjim approved tow bar. The room is paid for. The sitter is locked.
This is going to be a great weekend!
Ted
p.s.
I may have SWSBO drop me and the speedster off at the corner and drive into the hotel. Don't want to seem like a sissy.
OK TED
WORDS FOR WONDER
WATCH OUT FOR VINCE. LAST YEAR HE FOUND A NEW MEMBER TO BUY HIM OBAN AND THE GUYS WIFE IS STILL LOOKING FOR HIM. VELCRO YOUR WALLET TO ANYTHING U THINK VINCE CANT TOUCH OPPPS GIVE THAT IDEA UP.
NOW THE CROOKED COP HAS SOME GOOD IDEAS FOR THIS WEEKEND BUT IT IS WHY HE IS UNEMPLOYED AND HIS WIFE IS THE BREAD WINNER. SO LAST YEAR I WAS ARRESTED . PLEASE BE CAREFUL
OH BIG THING TO REMEMBER VINCE IS GAY AND HIS MARRIAGE IS A SHAM .
BUT WE ALL LOVE TERRI FOR THE FRONT SHE PUTS UP.
OH AND JIMMY IS VINCE’S PIMP.
SO IGNORE HIS COLLECTION TECHNIQUES
Hey Kev - Drop the Speedster when we get to Malibu and have Maggie follow us with the truck & trailer. There may even be 1 or 2 right-seaters who might want to ride in the comfortable air-conditioned truck with Maggie. I'm just saying….
Ted - here is the trio known to mankind as the Axis of Evil!!
Scott, count me and my brother, Kevin, in for lunch and dinner.
I'll ask him if he's interested in the concert as I'm not a big fan of rerun rock groups.
Now, if it was Tower of Power...
Tower of Power has been here, just not this weekend!! LOL
I contacted the winery directly and they said the concert is about half sold. Plenty of tickets available still.
Soooo, here's the deal... Click on the link below, purchase your tickets online and print them at home. Then e-mail that you have your ticket(s) and how many people and I will get the transportation set-up for everyone to get there and back safely.
Add to the Berlin concert.... If you can squeeze some lawn chairs in that will help since it's lawn seating (or around the pool if we get there early enough). If not, let me know and I can probably round up some extras.
Karine and I are IN for Berlin ..... tickets are now in hand. E-mailing Senor Slofuzz now. Can't wait.
Scott, we won't be attending the concert. Those of you who have met my brother know that he prefers talking over listening...
We'll be hanging out at the hotel or Pappy's, whichever has a better audience.
I was holding out for tics for Flock of Seagulls!
FREEBIRD!
I'm sure that this will make all of you guys jealous, but Sally and I are going to see Bruno Mars on the 27th here in Fresno and then we have 5th row seats for the American Idol Tour this August in San Jose. It's actually a meet and greet and sound check included package, because it was the only way I could get good seats.
Jena or Caleb?
I think they are both great, but my vote is going to Gina. Her Elvis cover made my eyes sweat!
My wife calls Caleb "Meat Loaf" and believes that he's going to take it.
Y'all have a great time like we did at Carlisle! We missed you this year, Jim!
Meat Loaf is exactly what I said when I first saw him too. He is great and this will not be the last we see of him.
Are you following the Voice too? My favorite there is little Christina Grimmie, but Josh is also amazing.
Haven't been following any of the other shows, and only started on Idol a couple of years ago. It's kind of addictive. The changes they made this year, particularly with the judges, are great improvements.
REALLY?!! You hijack this event thread to discuss American Idol and The Voice?! Time for a new thread if you want to do that,,,Geez!! Thanks for keeping it on top, but time to change topics to the event itself.....
I have to agree with slofuzz..... I keep getting notifications to read stuff I don't really care about.....
Never a worry Troy! Your ability to stimulate conversation is unprecedented. See you in a couple of weeks!!
Scott
I leave for a little while, and the site goes gay on me....
American Idol, the Voice, what is wrong with you guys...
Bruno Mars?
Stop it.....
I gotta have another scotch and cigar to off-set this thread a little
oops I just farted....
Honestly, it don' happen too often, but I'm totally with Vinnie on this one.
"The Voice'?
"Jena or Caleb" WHO? For Chrissake?
And "Bruno Mars"??
Really????
Where the hell's my Scotch? (sorry, Vinnie, but joining you with a cigar is out.........)
PEOPLE OF EARTH…oh, and you SOCers as well!
Less than two weeks to blast off for SLO, so I'm starting now to get a handle on caravan logistics from SoCal to SLO.

By the way anyone know a place near seal beach I could leave a truck and 22 foot trailer?
Hey Kevin - contact Mark 'Markos' Hjelm. He lives nearby in Seal Beach and may know a spot for your rig! Looking forward to catching up with all our knucklehead SOC friends!

Jim - maybe we should have him contact Al. Leave it in one of his many parking spots.
