Hey everyone!  We're all set for our weekend (please read to the bottom as I need some feedback for lunch).  The weekend events are as follows:

Friday - Hospitality Night in the gardens (cocktails optional,,,,riiiiight!).

Saturday - Meet at 9:30 at Vets Hall to line-up for the cruise.  Cruise starts at 10 AM sharp!

The cruise will take the same route as last year with different stopping points just to change it up.  The first stop is at Wild Horse Winery in Templeton.  The next stop is at Peachy Canyon Winery where we will dine from JimmyDe's catering truck, listen to live music and enjoy a relaxing venue outdoors with many shade trees and eating areas.  Our final leg will be determined after lunch with multiple choices depending on what the group or individuals want to do.

Dinner will be at Pappy MacGregor's with cocktails starting at 6:30 PM and dinner at 7:30 PM.  We can reconvene afterwards to the fire pit area for more cocktails after or head back to the hotel.

Two important things to note....

I need lunch choices for the Saturday catering truck like we did last year.  Nothing set in stone, but it helps them prepare for a big group with limited space.  The meals are under $10 apiece and soft drinks (soda, water, tea, etc is $2-$3).  See lunch menu below and respond directly to me at hammerinatgmaildotcom so I can tally the numbers and get them back to him.

Second, Pappy's new manager wasn't excited about separate checks, but agreed to do that for us.  I told him I would ask the group to try and sit with someone you feel comfortable sharing a check with to reduce the overall numbers of separate checks.  Any help here would be nice.  They are all aware of the problems we had last year with limited staff and some less than acceptable dinner items, but I've been assured the new manager is dialed in and we should be back to the first years experience.

Lunch menu choices....

Pulled Pork Sandwich with cole slaw on the side.

Aidelles Sausage Dog (Chicken Apple or Spicy) with cheese, peppers, onions as free additions for those who want.

Wraps with choices of Chicken, BLT or Veggie

Salads with choices of Chicken, BLT or Veggie.

Add-Ons include Avocado, Extra Cheese or Extra Bacon for $1.

Just let me know the main item you want....IE., 1 Chicken Wrap and 1 Pork Sandwich

Terry,,,I thought about that too!  They offered up a taco bar or a burger bar for large groups.  The other option we went with is a limited menu, but it only reduces the items that take longer to cook.  I like giving everyone choices,,,we just have to keep in mind it's more like pub food.  I think the worst meal last year was the over peppered Ahi Tuna Salad.  If we stick to burgers, sandwiches, fish n chips, etc should be good!!  And, no, I'm not paying for Knuckles Bros alcohol!! LOL Or anyone else's for that matter.  I've seen this group drink!!  Of course, Chris isn't coming this year (I don't think) so the margaritas Fri night will still be served in glass and no boxing gloves will be necessary for Sat night!! LOL

They don't call him Chris 'Danger' Robertson for nothing!

Okay,,,I have 20 lunches accounted for, but it would be nice to get him 65-75% of the group chiming in on lunch choices (always subject to change).  It's the last piece of the puzzle, then I can focus in on my kitchen remodel!

I'm missing the following folks...

Bates

Galvan

Ignacio

Jones

Kaufman

GERD (but he won't be there)

Leong

Parrett

Pierson

Toll

Has anyone heard from Mark and Rhonda Helm or the Murtaugh clan?

Scott - I spoke with Rusty Smith, he & Donna won't be able to make it this year.

Also spoke contacted Tom  Murtaugh. He & Kim are expecting their baby daughter within the next few weeks, so they won't make it this year.

Emailed you the lunch items for me & Ginny.

Thanks for putting this all together. I will finalize the directions for Saturday's cruise and make enough copies to distribute at SLO.

Promise me you'll go back on your meds before you head down to SLO. I don't want you scaring Ted again, okay?

Me thinks he has started a tad early on the Guinness. Normally I'd never say such a thing but for this...Yeah, I'll make an exception.
