Yesterday's land slide between Gorda and Ragged Point has closed off one of the most beautiful stretches of road in the world. It's as if God closed the road just for our enjoyment.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. The 2 most beautiful cul-de-sacs in the world have multiplied to 4 over night!

Below is a screenshot of the 50mi path between road closures. Entry via the epic, aforementioned, Nacimiento-Fergusson Road — about 10mi north of the latest, southernmost, closure.

Imagine driving one of The 1 without being in the middle of an endless train of cars both directions! Once in a lifetime.

I'd appreciate any local intel from our Central Coast friends. And if anyone has one of those drones that follow you and video, this is the perfect time to break it out.

There is hope for a Big Sir cruise after all!!

For anyone interested in a 1/2 day cruise from Paso Robles to Limekiln Park on the outskirts of Big Sir here is a map. I checked with the Forestry Service and Cal-Trans and the road is open to the public through to Hwy 1. Take a lunch, water (Beers), and camera - this is a beautiful drive. Fill up at the San Miguel, CA. Chevron at 10th street. It's a 65 mile, 2 1/2 hour drive through the national forest and over to hwy 1, then up to Limekiln Park. Gorda Springs Resort is open as well. They have gas, lodging, mini mart, and café right on the coast.

We could go Hells Angels on t-shirts and do a logo like this on the back and  a small one on the front pocket. I'm pretty sure only the name and flying death head are trademarked and since we are a CC and not an MC we shouldn't be stepping on any gang related toes...

HA's have been known to go after other motorcycle clubs just for imitating the three rocker design as you have drawn above. I'd avoid using it because an ounce or prevention is better than a pound of cure.

I can't think of a cooler way to die than to be beaten to death by a Hell's Angel.

I vote to keep it.

HMMMMM.....Let's see, give me Speedster Shirt sans HA Looking Rockers or give me (a HORRIBLE HA) Death.....I'm thinkin' gimme the sensible T-Shirt!!!!!

this all rings a bell for me. In 2011 we did our Mega trip in the speedster and got stopped by a landslide near Big Sur. One sharp local lad told us we could get up to the top and get around it by going up the Nacimento / Furgeson highway. Up we went mostly in 2nd gear and finally came out at the summit near Ft. Leggat -Hunter. The GI's were jumping up and down like crazy waving at us. Shyt we said....like they've never seen a Speedster before ? Turn's out it was May 2, 2011.....the demise of Osama Bin Laden.
