I hate the timing of this show.  I always have board meetings on the third Thursday and Friday in May, and can't travel back home until Saturday morning.

This week is also one of the most common weeks for graduations.

Thanks once again for every little thing that you (and Norma) take care of to make the Carlisle weekend happen!  I know there are others involved, too, as Alan certainly comes to mind.  Of course, now I am leaving someone out...

Come hell or high water (yes, that has happened there), I'll be there next May.

And Wild Bill!  Don't forget "The Dude".

It's on our "to get there list"......the long way though....haven't been to Texas lately.  :-)

And so it begins.  Hmmm, graduations?? Come to think of it, I believe there will be one -- my granddaughter.  Wonder when they will do that??  Better find out.

So sad to see pictures of my Speedster and my wife's coupe. Hope to be back in the game (another Speedster or Coupe) by next spring. Just put my 912 in it's winter quarters yesterday.

The AA CA Hershey fall meet is in full swing, beautiful weather for it here in Central Pennsylvania.

Oh, we'll be there for sure. Hope to see all our old friends, some new friends, and all of their beautiful cars.

This will be Alice's and my 10th Carlisle in a row---wouldn't miss it for anything--it's a highlight of our year.  Great friends and great times.  Missing Carlisle  is missing half the pleasure of Speedster ownership.   The big caravan getting there is a large part of the experience too!

This is always  well-organized event by Bruce, Norma, Alan, the Dude and  so many others who contribute to it.

And Lane, don't forget the obnoxious radio announcer person.  I'm sorry to report that again, for the third year in a row, I will not be in attendance.  First of all, I don't own the "Red Man" anymore and secondly, Sarah and I are expecting our first grandchild in May.  Geraldine told me "YOU BETTER STAY NEAR NASHVILLE AND LOOK OUT FOR THAT BABY, OLD TIMER!"  Going forward, who the heck wants to see me now that I'm no longer part of the collective.  Is resistance still futile?  

Hopefully I'll be bringing the..... "Beast" 

Hoss, you could be driving a Prius and we'd still want to see you.  Oh wait, you DO drive a Prius.

Yes Lane, but also a Mustang convertible.  Something new and different may be added to the stable as early as the end of the month.  More about that later.  

Durn, John---I didn't know that you sold the Redman.  I hope you and Sarah will still join us for our annual dinner at Aubreys---please!   Based on what I know of your plans, you will be moving from Knoxville very soon----to Florida?

Makes me sad.

Wild horses couldn't keep me away from Aubreys Jack.  As far as the Florida goes, that has been put on the back burner and the status is somewhere between maybe not to probably not.  I still love Tennessee.  

Hey. Any way we can do a mountain cruise on Thursday or Friday?  Maybe through some covered bridges. This has likely been done before but I have not had the opportunity. If anyone has a good route I would like to see it. I'm in for a scenic cruise. 

Working on 2017 plans right now, hope to announce soon.  The covered bridge tour was a hit when we ran it, current plan its to resurrect it for the 2018 gathering.

Ray:  It's quite a detour for me to go through Ottawa to get to Carlisle, but I'm glad to do to it drag your butt down there....I still regret having had to miss last year.

Seriously, Carlisle is the highlight of most of these sadsacks year.  Without it, many of them would just shrivel up, typing on their computer, or sitting in their garage, staring at their car, year after year.

You need to think of Carlisle as a super dose of Vitamin B12.  Take one shot, and it keeps you going for an entire year.  Besides, it's great to be able to picture the faces behind the posts (well, most of them, that is - some faces you might want to forget). 

You will have a good, memorable time.

I wanted to go as well but I was in Florida and then I shattered my elbow roller skating something I used to do a lot when I was young and it happened just the week before Carlisle ... been healing up ever since.  

I guess if we go Henry might show up with two of his cars there.  

I you suggesting that you would come to Ottawa to pick the other members of the convoy?  That's nice of you.   

If I get there it might save me from this....

Are we doing shirts this year?  I know this sounds kind of bourgeoisie but is there any way we could do a small logo like this one on a polo shirt.  I know this sounds dumb but my wife gets bent out of shape if I wear tee shirts with logos.  Boos and hisses expected.

I'd go for a Polo short sleeve shirt as well, if one was available. Did you hear that Rich   

I know I'm not in the club anyway but us TD guys did button-down short-sleeve shirts a couple years ago. 

I'd consider a bowling shirt but not a polo...

Perhaps the guys who feel strongly about this should take charge of the project.

I exchanged emails with Rich Drewek mid-December and he said he is planning to do shirts again this year.  Suspect we will be hearing from him in the next couple of weeks.
