I PM'd everyone that I am certain is going and a few I think should be going but haven't heard from yet. I am also posting here in case I missed you. (My apologies if I did)

I have an updated list from the hotel regarding those who are staying at the host hotel and some of you have made other arrangements for accommodations. Just be sure you're at the host hotel on Friday evening for conversation and adult libations. There will also be a drivers' meeting. At the meeting we will be handing out route books, meal tickets, t-shirts, and swag.

We have an extensive route book with turn by turn directions, graphics in case you don't know which way is left or right, and odometer markings so you should be able to see where you're at at any given time. There will also be shortcuts if you get behind and want to meet at the next location. There will be an opportunity to get gas on the route if you're not comfortable doing 140 miles on a tank of gas. After our last stop there will some challenge routes you can take for extra mileage or a more challenging adventure on your return to the hotel.

My brother is driving up and will be grilling our lunch for us while we're out driving. Our first stop will be at one of the local parks in SLO County and it is where we will stop for lunch. He will be grilling smoked sausages served on Hawaiian rolls, hot links on Hawaiian rolls, grilled peppers and onions for garnishment or you can use traditional mustard/ketchup/mayo, potato salad and probably a three bean salad, chips, and drinks. The cost for lunch is $10.00 per person.

Our dinner Saturday evening will be Mediterranean chicken, rice, fattoush salad, hummus, pita bread, water, and a desert. The hotel has a full bar if you're in need of more adult libations. My friends will be driving up and catering dinner for us. The cost for dinner is $25.00 per person.

Here’s what I need from everyone ASAP. You can either PM me or email me at robert.mcewen@comcast.net Either way is fine but I need to hear from you ASAP.

For those I have PM'd you know what I need. If you didn't receive a PM from me what I need is:

Real name and screen name, cell phone number including area code, how many in your group (i.e. - you and your significant other would be 2), if you're staying at the host hotel or somewhere else, how many lunch tickets you want to buy, how many dinner tickets you want to buy, and how many t-shirts you need and in what sizes.

I will collect money for lunches and dinner in advance and unless Scott, aka OCC objects, we'll probably collect for t-shirts at the event. If the t-shirt committee gets the design finished SOON we'll post it so you can decide if you want a shirt.

After you send me the information, including how many lunches and dinners you want, I will send you the information you will need to pay me. I will be accepting PayPal, Apple Pay or personal checks.

I'm trying hard to make this a fun event with a lot of driving, minimal down time, and some good food. Getting this information to me ASAP will take some of the stress off of me. Thank you.

And as always, please bring something good for the raffle.

If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Looks like I got kicked off the island.  No PM.

I guess I’ll have to crash the party if I want to go?! Lol

Me too

Scott,

My apologies, I was under the impression you weren't coming. If you are, great, PM me the details, we'd love for you to be there. It's California, we accept everyone.

Rusty,

Mea culpa. I sent out an early feeler and I missed you so when you hadn't responded I thought you weren't coming. Get off your a$$ and PM me the details. I have a new motor so I should be good but it never hurts to have a fireman handy. Check the first thread for the information I need.

I have finally secured our final destination for this event. Our last scheduled stop will be at the Opolo Winery. They have a tremendous amount of parking, a large covered patio, an indoor barrel room with tables for 8 in an air conditioned area, three bar tops for wine tasting, and another bar near the barrel room for spirits tasting. They even have a food area if you didn't get enough to eat at lunch. Or you can get water and MAYBE sodas there.

There is no requirement for us to purchase a minimum number of tastings or anything like that. If we have more than 16 people who are interested in wine tasting then I will need to collect monies in advance for the tasting but that wouldn't be until Friday evening, Saturday morning, or even at lunch. They ask that the money be handled in one transaction so they can focus on the wine tasting as opposed to chasing down each person after the tasting.

If you think you would be interested in wine or spirits tasting let me know.
