We will certainly entertain both a Napa and Tahoe Cruise this year. Work schedules permitting on our end, of course!
I'd be interested in a Napa Cruise this year

Love the picture, Jim. I'll always remember a sign that used to be at the entrance to Sonoma Valley: "Sonoma makes wine. Napa makes auto parts."
Great picture and a great time, a super group to be a part of. Thank you all for your welcoming spirit. Hot ride home.
Do any of you upload your photos to Google or Apple? Can you share them? I started a photo thread for the event here:
Share your West Coast Cruise pics HERE
I started you off with a 10min video overview and 300 photos and videos from the event. I'd love to see more from your perspective. Until then, I'm still working through about half of my 400GB treasure chest.
Be sure to send everything to @MusbJim as well (WeTransfer.com to his email address: musbjim at gmail dot com
).
Just have to finalize my 2019 Carlisle video to post later this week. 2019 SLO video is in the works at Pineapplehead Production.
Details to follow in another thread "2019 SLO Video".
Thanks for always stepping up and spending the time !
@MUSBJIM
My GoPro footage from Fri (NorCal group southbound from Ragged Point on Hwy1) and Saturday (various bits before and after lunch) are on the way via WeTransfer, uploading now. 19 files fit before the 2GB limit. If I have any more I come across I'll send 'em over.

Yeah Al, but you're a cool character. Thanks for making the drive back up the hill with us. Looking forward to future events with you.
Just downloaded your files. Thanks, Marcel!
It was great to have you join the group on this year's event. The GoPro pics from your helmet-cam were pretty cool! Your car looks great as well!
Happy Father's Day, gentlemen. I'm still working through footage from our adventure. Here's another teaser I made on my phone from the hammock yesterday.
That looks like an exciting drive; after beating up my little red Speedster in Profumo Canyon I think I might entertain kicking up some dust on the Coast Road. Might, being the operative word!
Well I had that in life artwork on my car .....
family life
Saw this pic of Larry Bull's car on another thread today and I recalled following him through some twisty at SLO. His new (body off) suspension treatment is a very noticeable improvement in handling. He was carving corners on rails while I was backing off the accelerator and hesitating over the brake peddle. I wouldn't want to follow him if got the serious need to speed.

Our trip was captured on some of Targa California video :
Around 7:20 you can see us passing them and around 8:40 you see the burning Lotus and us passing the burning car (very sad)
Cool video from the Targa group! It was neat seeing a few of us in our Speedsters rolling by them.
It was especially nice to see the Lotus in working order throughout the video. Such a sad ending to a great car...
At 9:15 the driver of the burning Lotus is saying something that sounds like, "That's the only way your going to catch me, shitty fake Porsches" as you guys are rolling by.
If that's the case, burn baby burn.
Um, yeah, my sympathy just went out the window.
The funny thing is that @Ryan (formerly) in NorCal supplied the drone shots for that video.
I believe the guy who made the sh!tty fake Porsche comment was joking. Most of the people participating in the event appeared cordial.
Oh I've said plenty of things when I'm angry that I regret later..guilty. Luckily I wasn't being recorded during those times.
Waiting for the NorCal group at the Ragged Point Inn, I saw the '34 Duesenberg and the slime green Viper as seen in the Targa video, small world.
The Cords all were in a group headed south on Hwy 1 also. Added to the great scenery.

Just a friendly reminder to the owner of the charred Lotus, as much as you think you’re Lotus is better than our cars, you still couldn’t afford to buy a “fake sh%tty Porsche” with your insurance check. Hate to break it to you bud, but unless your Lotus was in immaculate condition with under 10 miles, it’s worth less than our plastic clown cars.
To add, there were also a number of cars on the tour that could out-perform his Lotus both in terms of 0-60 and cornering capabilities; regardless of what model (I couldn’t tell exactly what year and model).
I don’t think it was anger that made the owner say that, it is a mindset ....

@Kevin - Bay Area OUCH! Too funny...couldn’t afford...
Childish retaliatory joke:
- Wasn’t that car made in the English town of Kingsford?
just to be fair & balanced concerning the asinine comment from the KRISPY LOTUS owner...that scenario could occur to anyone at any given time...depending of course on condition & caring maintenance by said owner and unforeseen events....but perhaps not say such silly things with a camera rolling?.....just a thought
I shared a video for the Lotus guy on the Targa California video:
That's us dancing around since we finished the run.

Spoke to Paul Kramer At auto kennel turns out the Lotus guy was actually making fun of everybody’s car along with ours …He even told me the owner of the lotus has owned a couple of replica porches in the past… So he can’t be that bad of a guy...
I also did tell paul it wasn’t a wise thing to say during the video taping of his car burning… He agreed
mr lotus is a true car guy and loves to tinker with all sorts of them.....
best regards,
Tebs

Let’s keep it rolling. The thread will prolly end-up on the topic of Bundt cakes before long anyway.
Hey I'll go there immediately...today's advice is to spray your Bundt cake pan with non-stick spray before you pour your batter. Poke it with a toothpick to check 'doneness'.
in other news, pack a fire extinguisher! Not only that, test the darn thing so you don't have a useless red thing behind your seat for years getting stale until one day you need it. Might save the day.

I’m glad you brought that up. After getting my carbs dialed in by my local VW guy, I was driving the Coupe home and my Extinguisher just emptied itself. I was blinded and pulled into the median. My wife said I looked like a snowman when I jumped outta that thing. Valuable lesson: 1) Secure your extinguisher at all times 2) Think about getting the Element unit (Which I gladly followed through with). Three hours of cleaning and I still can see the residue here and there. The top of the dash is actually Dark blue. In the second pic I had already cleaned the driver’s seat. A Duh moment for sure 🤦♂️
