Want to buy some wheels from Carey at Beck. Wheels have 25mm offset. Called Henry but he said they vary a little and I would need to measure. Assuming I have to remove a wheel. How do I measure the offset?
I certainly am commited to yanking the wheel off my car this weekend, getting my straight edges, ruler and calculator out and measuring the offset of my wheels. But if anyone has it on the tip of there tongue that would be nice. Otherwise the wheel comes off.
Are your front and rear wheels the same width? What year is your IM? On tube framed IMs Henry usually installed 5.5" on the front and 7.0" on the rear.
Wider wheels actually improve the car's handling, no matter how much hp. My 133 hp track Miata had 8" wide wheels and some of the really fast Miatas ran 9" wide wheels.
