From the available pics, it looks like the only opening into the engine compartment is the vents on the forward edge of the deck lid. I would really like to know where the air exchanges take place, and if the engine runs hot or not. Couldn't tell from the listed pics unless I missed something.
I did notice lots of heat shielding use on the bottom side of the engine.
I'm not wild about the wheels, but who am I kidding- I'd give one of my fingers and a couple of toes for that.
WOW!
Did you watch the track test? impressive, most impressive.Stan that would certainly move....just like Bob's IM6
Well, I've had two Karmann Ghias, but neither of them would move like that thing. I think the guy really has created a nice, tastefully done hot rod there.
Yeah, I've only looked at that thing like (I don't know) 50-ish times today.
I love it more every time I look at it. I've got Ghia/6 fever pretty bad right about now.
Anybody looking for a place to donate some cash? May I recommend "The Air-Cooled Cat-Lady of the Plains Rehabilitation Fund", c/o the Office of Internal Combustion, the People's Republic of Stanistan.
Funds are on their way...Meow.
What a saweeeeeet ride!!! I would give Stan's finger, his couple of toes and $100 bucks just to take it around the track once. My German is a bit rusty but I did catch the line "it goes" very clearly and the test ride and the awesome donuts certainly proved that. That is one sexy ride.
Stan - pardon my offering up of some of your body parts but I am with ya on the Ghia fever
I'm upping the ante: Stan's left nut, right thumb, and left big toe (trying to keep him balanced).

That's big of you Ron- always thinking of me.

Yes I am.
