Thanks for posting those ... I like the silver one the best ... I don't know why they put the window switches on the dash they should hide them under the dash IMO.
They have been around awhile but prices coming down...
The link for the third one just takes you to a long list of stuff for sale.
It's the first item in the list. Silver coupe. Amber fog lights. Kooky interior.
The first one (black) is real car - so no grief from PCA. Says sale pending.
Silver one is very nice. polished 2.5L Subaru engine, AC (argh, underdash hang on), hi-lited interior welting ??? Just missing towel bar over-riders and fabric roll back sun roof to fill all my desired boxes. $39k OBO. On East Coast in GA.

Hello WG
Are we sure the black one is a real 356? Not that it matters one way or the other, but I think it's a replica with borderline deceptive verbiage to confuse people.
The Porsche vin numbers from 1959 to 1968 are are 6 digits. The vin listed appears to be from a 74 VW.
The pan is NOT from a 356. The ad states that the foundation of each Carrera CoachWerks 356 Coupe is new tubular chassis. You'll also note the car has a VW ebrake lever mounted on the center tunnel, forward of the gear shifter.
The motor is listed as a 2232. That's pretty clearly a VW motor.
The body has no drip rails.
The billet steering shaft clamp.
The VW gas tank and the very obvious shape/style of the FRUNK.
I'm leaning towards replica. Let the buyer beware.
Ted
The black one has been for sale for years and is not a JPS if I recall.
Black coupe sure looks like a replica to me

That’s because it is. The gauges and the dash are the 100% for sure “tell”.
... and Bill’s right. I think it’s been advertised pretty close to forever.
If I remember correctly, Carrera CoachWerks = former Thunder Ranch
Here is the thread where we first learned of the black coupe:

It's a replica.
Ah I just quickly looked at the under chassis which looked like a 356 niti-body with flat steel repair pans. Mea Culpa.
I know that black car. I have driven it. It was a Carrera Coachwerks Car. Mr. AC ring a bell?
