3 piece convertible top, where di I get one//???

I am conptemplating buying a IM conv D roadster, but I want to replace the top, it has the typical one, and I like the more intricate type, 3 pice I belive, does anyone know where I might buy one, and do they have a healiner/

Jane; I understand Speedsters and Covertible D's didn't have headliners (only Cabriolets did).

Convertable D's had a inner top above the front seats. It is a "mini-headliner" of sorts. The tops also have a zip out rear window that makes a nice/wide opening and keeps the window from being folded when the top is down. I donot understand the 3 piece top however.

I bought a new top for my Speedster when I first got mine. It came in an old Porsche parts box, never been installed. In fact it needs to be assembled. It's brand new and when I paid for it and the custom charges etc... it was for a D. I called Auto Atlanta that sold it to me and they said basically TOO BAD! So it sits in my basement next to the weight machine. I am in Quebec City.

Three layers maybe?
I think the Germans make the best convertible top,with all the padding & insulation but those are on MBs,VWs and such. Ours are deemed 'emergency' tops.

Which replica maker has the top with the 3 rear windows (vice single one)? Doesn't look real authentic but since top is only up when its raining it would give better rear visibility of those flashing blue lights.

not 3 windows, 3 fabric pieces rather than one piece, I saw it on a IM that JSTEFANO classic cars had adveritsed, maybe I'll unquire with them
