Howard,

Steve Wong sells 3.2 chips. Most drivers state a noticeable increase in power and torque especially when coupled with exhaust improvements.

Check Pelican Parts BBS, run a search. Very popular chips. I'm sure others are available, but this one comes to mind and has proven itself in the field.

I was pricing out dollars per smiles for my 3,2 and the performance chips are varied (all plus)and the mechanic I was chatting with said there is so much untapped HP in a 3,2 just waiting to get out... but a new exhaust is definitely the other part of that equation. I think he said to expect a 25-30HP gain minimum, but a lot more snap = $2000+/-

I'm presently reading up on enthusiast's experiences so I can sift through brand names and avoid potential problems. I read that and sort of believe as an example, that B&B exhausts are a bit over-rated and under-built.
Hi, I want to get this motor to appox. 275hp, with7100 rpm redine. The motor has special high performance free flow header system, Im keeping fuel injection unit, upgrading chip,(Hypertech) comes highly recommended, along with low friction exhaust. No environmental crap on this motor. This speedster should be a sub 5 second car, with the 915 5 speed, high end should get to 175mph. It will be reliable, horsepower. Yes Dale, the space shuttle will be slow by comparison. By the way I found a set of pristine 16in Fuchs 7 and 8 OEM original for $950. Henry is going to be getting alot of "stuff" to put together over the winter. This IS FUN!!!!!!!!!
Howard, I'm pretty sure they make chips for the 3.2. I think I've seen them in the Tweeks (a/k/a MidAmerica), Pelican Parts and Performance Parts Porsche catalogs. You may be able to get them directly from Turner Motorsports, which manufactures them (at least they do for BMW's).

As far as Fuchs wheels are concerned, you may want to give Wheel Enhancement (www.wheelenhancement.com) a call. They sell, repair, refinish and custom paint wheels. I particularly like this chrome Fuchs wheel with red recesses, as shown on a guards red 911 coupe.

Even though it's a replica, I would still be inclined to stick with Porsche colors. Is the Ferrari red that different from Porsche Guards Red? Also, if you're leaning toward a light blue metallic, what about the Porsche Azurra Blue metallic that's only available on the limited edition 2005 911 Club Sport? That's supposed to have a retro look to it similar to Porsche Azure blue (non-metallic) of the 1950's.
Seriously consider:
Mexico Blue
Fishcop Blue (aka) Arrow Blue
Gulf Blue

If you are thinking blues. These are vintage 911 colors all in the fairly light spectrum. Seen some beautifully done fuchs with a hammer finish on the petals and the blue in the background.

Stunning - worthy of your car.

Found the thread I was looking for - shows the blue colors mentioned above (and several that I was less enamored with). Never liked blue until I saw these colors.

Oh, by the way, if you can, may I suggest you lighten the clutch and flywheel. They are "tanks" for your speedy. Designed for a car that weighs about 3300-3500 lbs... Obviously you will have to keep both flywheel sensors but that should not be an issue as they mount to the engine.

Angela, thanks for the reply, The only Blue I would consider is that light metallic j4j4 color. Its very similar to Nassau/marina Corvette blue from the series 2 corvette. If not the vote goes to a DEEP, INTENSE, ELECTRIC RED. Guards red and some others have too much of an orange coloration. Flywheel, clutch assembly already lightened for this application. Great minds and all that.
