Decided to experiment with a color change on the Fuchs, Diannes not too crazy about the black so we had a quart of paint mixed up to match the body gelcoat as its 27 years old.
I've read about guys doing it that way before (a post on the Pelican parts forum, iIrc). Did you poke holes in the tape afterward to drain the extra out? I've seen a pic of a white/off white tub with the insets of the alloys painted dark brown and thought it looked pretty sharp. Al
Yes Al I slit the tape after the paint settled a bit and it drains into the wash tub but it also runs down the inside of the rim. This has to be removed after the wheel drys as attending to it before hand would shift the paint line on the rim.
