It is actually illegal to post a picture on website of a vehicle that you have built or have for sale when it wasn't you who built it.

I forget the legal term for this, a replica maker in Texas got busted for this pretty hard a few years ago.

Maybe the term is bullshit. Can't remember for sure.

Mr. Willson? If you are a legitimate businessman providing a good product, available in the US with no "nigerian funny games" etc., attached, then I will be the first to apologize to you. But when you post three times on this site, with no defineable items in the United States, using what is a picture of a car we are all most painfully acquainted with, then we have great suspicions as to your intentions.

Please feel free to provide information to the contrary, that you are indeed a legitimate businessman with a real product so that I may publicly apologize. In the meantime, I'm going to keep cheering for the good people in this country who are still in the speedster business, making cars, taking care of customers and putting AMERICANS to work.

I know your all thinking that the green coupe is a JPS creation, but if you compare the pictures of the two green coupes, you will see that they are NOT the same. Look closely the Panache green coupe is RHD! How about we give this guy the benefit of the doubt, and some helpful guidance as to how to correctly post his business. We would welcome this guy if he posted that he just bought a new Speedster. Obviously he does not know yet what the correct SOC protocal is! Extend to him the same openess that you would to anyone else joining the "madness"!
Gotta disagree with you, Allan. It's just a couple of clicks to flip a photo, and you can compare it to the picture on the JPS site. The background is identical (but flipped), and the wipers now point in the opposite direction (flipped). The only difference is that the picture on the Panache site was taken before the hood straps and driving lights were installed. Trying to sell your work with pictures of someone else's is not going to generate trust.
Actually I believe the picture of the green hornet is photoshopped to be in reverse and look RHD. Look at the parking lot, same parking block, same yellow lines, and more telling, same reflection of the buildings in the door!!!!! Looks like some accessories have been photoshopped off the car, but take a look at the hornet pics on JPS website and you will see the mirror image of a LOT of tells. Likewise several of the other pictures are stolen from the internet and are of ORIGINAL cars.
Allan--your kind nature is shining through---good for you.

Now get back to work and find me that shirt!!!

(Thanks)

And Carey---you are some detective. What a thorough analysis of the photo and the "tells" you found to show it was the JPS car, which is certainly is. A busted scammer bites the dust. Damned impressive to me, my friend!
The photos of the Green Coupe on the Panache website are pictures I took for John Steele, and were for his exclusive use.
They were obviously "borrowed" from the JPS website and photoshopped to make the car appear as RHD.
As a photographer, it's hard to catch people using your photos (especially those posted online) without your permission...unless they're ignorant enough to promote their stupidity so blatantly.
Just amazing.
